My husband and I booked with Threeland Travel based on a friend's recommendation and had a good time. Our agent, Ms Stella was very good and prompt with replying all of our emails. We had a customized itinerary based on their Indochina Essential Draw to Vietnam and Cambodia. We had 5 local guides and 4 of them were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Most hotels that we stayed were fine and food provided were good.

We have just had our third visit to Vietnam and the third time we have used Threeland Travel. Each time we have visited Vietnam we have created our own private tour with Threeland. They are very obliging and will accommodate whatever your likes for touring - and wherever you want to visit. One of the big highlights this trip was a visit to Pu Luong Mountain Retreat - just totally unspoiled in the mountain area about 4 hours drive from Hanoi. Walked through the rice fields, visited local villages and had a real feel of the area. The guide and driver were just the best and this is the third time with both of them as well. Would strongly recommend Threeland and can't wait speak highly enough of the professional manner in arranging our trip and organising our holiday.

We have just returned from a wonderful private tour of Vietnam and Cambodia arranged by Linda and her team at Threeland Travel. They were recommended to us by friends and they were fantastic!! Our itinerary, flights, hotels and many meals were all arranged by them all by e mail and the whole trip could not have gone better. We visited Hanoi, Hue, Ho-ian, Ho Chi Minh City, Phom Penh and Siem Riep. At each destination we were met by helpful and knowledgeable guides and drivers so the whole trip was stress free. The hotels and meals were excellent. We visited incredible places and have returned with wonderful memories. Thank you so much Threeland travel.

Why Travel to Vietnam from the USA?

Vietnam offers an extraordinary mix of beauty, culture, and affordability, making it a top Asian destination for U.S. tourists.

More and more travelers from the U.S. are choosing Vietnam, with record numbers showing just how popular this beautiful country has become.

Statistic Data (2025)
Total international visitors to Vietnam 10.7 million
Visitors from the USA (Jan–May) 375,000
Growth in U.S. arrivals (YoY, H1 2025) +13.7%
Vietnam’s overall international arrivals Up 20.7% year-on-year
U.S.A. ranks as the source market for Vietnam Top 5

Is Vietnam Worth Visiting from the U.S.?

Indeed! Thousands of Americans now make trips to Vietnam every year, enchanted by its dynamic mix of old and new. Stepping off the plane in Vietnam is like stepping into a different world, one that stands in stunning contrast to the daily life you know. The long flight takes you more than just far from home; it brings you to a place where sailing past the stunning rocks of Ha Long Bay is real, and walking through the radiant lantern streets of Hoi An feels like a fantasy come true.

Vietnam holiday packages offer something special - you get to learn about the local culture and see amazing, beautiful places. It is the kind of holiday that you will always remember and talk about for years.

How Affordable is Vietnam for American Travelers?

Vietnam is one of the most budget-friendly travel destinations in Asia. It offers immense worth without compromising on experience or quality. Condé Nast Traveler even recognized Vietnam as one of the most budget-friendly destinations for American tourists in 2025. Moreover, with the strong exchange rate between the U.S. Dollar and the Vietnamese Dong, you can enjoy a 5-star vacation in Vietnam for much less than what you would pay in Europe or the USA itself.

It makes our Vietnam travel packages ideal for longer stays, exploring multiple cities, or simply enjoying the very best a country has to offer.

What Makes Vietnam’s Culture and Landscapes So Unique?

What makes Vietnam unique is how different everything is. It is a land of contrasts - peaceful green rice fields in the Mekong Delta and busy, buzzing streets in Hanoi. One day, you can visit the ancient Temple of Literature, and the next, learn about Vietnam’s history at the War Remnants Museum. Vietnam travel tour packages with Threeland Travel let you engage in authentic experiences, like cycling through rural villages, joining a traditional tea ceremony, or exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels.

What to Know Before You Go: A Practical Guide for U.S. Citizens

We believe a well-informed traveler is a happy traveler. Here is the essential information you need before you book your trip to Vietnam package.

Do U.S. Citizens Need a Visa for Vietnam?

Yes, U.S. passport holders require a visa. As of July 2025, the 90-day electronic visa or the e-Visa, is the simplest and popular option. The official application must be submitted through the Vietnam Immigration Portal. Use the official government site https://evisa.gov.vn/. The process is totally online and generally takes around three to five business days for approval.

Are There Direct Flights from the U.S. to Vietnam?

Yes! There is one direct flight from the USA to Vietnam. Vietnam Airlines operates direct flights from San Francisco to Ho Chi Minh City four times a week, making your trip to Vietnam package even easier and more convenient. It takes around 15 hours. Alternatively, there are many connecting flight options from cities like New York, Houston, and Los Angeles via major Asian cities.

While you book your international flights and secure your visa, we are ready and waiting to manage everything from the moment you land, starting with a warm welcome at the airport.

FAQ

Got a question for Threeland Travel?

01

What to wear in Vietnam?
x-mark
The weather in Vietnam varies based on the location and time of year. So, what you wear depends on the time of year and which part of Vietnam you are in. For most of the Vietnam tours, pack
  • - Breathable, light clothes like linen and cotton.
  • - Comfortable footwear like walking shoes.
  • - Light rain jacket or umbrella.
  • - Modest attire covering your knees and shoulders, especially while visiting pagodas and temples.
Based on the diverse climate of Vietnam, what you need to carry depends on the month and where you are going.
Southern Vietnam, places like the Mekong Delta, are always warm. May to November is the wet season, and December to April is the dry season. But even in the wet season, the rain is intense but only for a short time. Carry loose-fitting, lightweight clothes to enjoy your Vietnam trip package.
Northern Vietnam includes places like Halong Bay, Sapa, and Hanoi. May to October is the summer season. Carry light trousers, shorts, an umbrella, a light rain jacket, and T-shirts. November to April is the winter season, when it can get very cold. Pack long-sleeved T-shirts, jackets, and layers. During the winter months, you will need a hoodie and some warm clothes.
Central Vietnam includes places such as Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An. January to August is the dry season in this region. Carry dresses, shorts, light, breathable clothes, and swimwear. September to December is the wet season. Expect typhoons and rain. Do not forget to carry rainwear - an umbrella or a jacket is a must.
Pro-Tip: No matter where you go, bring a pair of comfortable footwear. You will be doing a lot of exploring on your tour to Vietnam.
