Do US citizens need a visa when traveling to Vietnam?

First, US citizens need a visa to visit and travel in Vietnam.

Since 1996, US citizens flying into Vietnam can pick up their Vietnam visa upon arrival to one of Vietnam's international airports. However, US citizens can still complete the Vietnam visa application online before commencing their trip.

US citizens need to take the following steps

Step 1: You need to submit an online Vietnam visa application form to US citizens.
Step 2: Get Vietnam Visa Approval Letter from our team.
Step 3: Get a Vietnam visa stamp upon arrival at one of Vietnam's international airports (Hanoi/Da Nang/Ho Chi Minh City/Nha Trang).

What to note about Vietnam Visas for Americans?

To obtain a Vietnam visa, US citizens must have a passport valid for six months from the date of arrival in Vietnam. American tourists can only get Vietnam visa on arrival by air.

- Provide your full name exactly as it appears on the passport. You can optionally name them in any order.
- Provide exactlly date of birth in DD/MM/YY format.

- Make sure the passport number is exactly the same as on the passport, valid for at least 6 months after the first date of arrival in Vietnam.
