1. Ba Vi National Park

To begin this list, the famed national park of Hanoi is a fantastic weekend vacation. It is around 50 kilometers west of the capital and has a wide variety of vegetation to provide shade from the sun.

Many people choose to trek in the park to enjoy the scenery and peace. If the heat is still unbearable, you may drive through the clouds and ascend the stairs to the highest point of the Ba Vi mountain range. The chill on top of King Mountain, at 1,269 meters, will pleasantly surprise you.

2. Tam Dao National Park

Tam Dao National Park is another national park located less than 100 kilometers from the city. The peaceful hill village was founded in the early twentieth century by French colonialists. Because of its height of approximately 1,000 meters, it typically gets a pleasant wind flowing through it.

Because of the three peaks - Ban Thach, Thien Nhi, and Phu Nghia - the area's name translates to "three islands." They are all 1,000 meters above sea level and provide spectacular vistas as well as a more temperate temperature than Hanoi, which is further down the twisting route.

Accommodation options range from major hotels and villas in town to campers within the park with waterfalls to keep you company.

3. Ninh Binh

Travel two hours south of Hanoi to experience a world of breathtaking karst beauty. The tranquil environment contrasts sharply with the hectic metropolis and traffic bottlenecks in the sweltering heat.

Relaxing river trips in Tam Coc and Trang An, surrounded by lush flora, may help guests cool off before retiring to their preferred lodging, which can range from traditional homestays to resorts with swimming pools and spas.

You may also visit the Van Long Nature Reserve if you wish to avoid the throng. If you're lucky, you could see a critically endangered Delacour langur ascending the wetland nature reserve's high limestone terrane.

4. Cuc Phuong National Park

The largest natural reserve in Vietnam has a diverse spectrum of species, including vegetation. The national park's multi-layered canopy, with some trees rising 70 meters into the sky, providing great protection from the heat.

Because of the mild temperature, you may enjoy the park's attractions without feeling too hot. Seeing its wonderful wildlife, like as langurs, civets, and flying squirrels, is a delight.

Away from the forest route, you may explore even colder areas of Paradise Cave and Cave of Prehistoric Man. Remember to keep your lips closed when staring up at the bat colonies that dangle from the cave roofs.

Storms and rains are possible between July and August, although they are preferable to being caught in the downpour in the midst of Hanoi at rush hour.

5. Soc Son

The final inclusion on the list of good Hanoi heat escapes is the one nearest to the city. A short drive across the Nhat Tan bridge and past Noi Bai Airport will bring you to Soc Son, a prominent neighbourhood in Hanoi.

The area may lack the variety of flora and animals seen in national parks, but Ham Lon Lake and Dong Do Reservoir provide a calm setting. Many travelers opt to sleep near these sources of water to escape the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.

Soc Son also offers a large number of magnificent villas to enjoy with friends and family, many of which include a pool to cool off in when the heat gets too much. You may also visit Thanh Chuong's Viet Palace, which has a charmingly unique collection of art set among lotus ponds and green gardens.

Hanoi is getting hotter every day, so bring water by your side and stay in a cool area during the day. Threeland Travel has many Vietnam tours to escape Hanoi in this hot weather !
