Ba Be Lake is located around 220 kilometers from Hanoi in Nam Mau commune, Ba Be district, Bac Kan province. The natives call Ba Be lake as Siam Pe, which translates to three lakes. The lake gets its name from the meeting of three rivers of the Pe Lam, Pe Lu, and Pe Leng rivers.
