There are several local restaurants and shops nearby, but little else can be found within easy walking distance. The gorgeous Ancient Town of Hoi An is just a 15-minute drive away with free shuttle buses. Or else you can hire a bicycle to ride to town, but we would love to recommend you to hire a scooter instead to get a bit more breeze on the way, which helps in Vietnamese heat.

Beach:
Hoi An Beach Resort is situated across the street from a sandy stretch of Cua Dai Beach. This beach has been almost entirely washed away due to erosion, but the hotel has a seasonal rebuilding program that they place sandbags along the shoreline and cover them with new sand to allow access to the water.

•    Light sleepers should request a room away from the river and street side to avoid occasional noise annoyance.

•    Although you can easily reach Hoi An’s beaches by bicycle or boat from Anantara’s private jetty, the hotel does not offer the same vibe as a beach resort. Therefore, if you need some taste of beach and sand, we recommend to stay in a beach resort and visit the town of Hoi An on a tour, or maybe stay one or two nights at the Anantara resort to explore the old town, and then move to the coast for a few days of pure relaxation.

Some tips for traveling to Hoi An: 

For your best experience at Hoi An Beach Resort, here are some tips for you for a better trip: 

-    From October to November is the floods season in Hoi An with heavy rain or storms. If you want to visit and have a nice trip, you’d better check with the local the weather in Hoi An ahead of time.

-    The price of hotels is subject to the location, type of room and service, and your booking time. Especially, at peak season, weekend and holidays, it is usually higher than normal days, so you should check the price closely and ask for help if you don’t understand. 

Note: Since 2014, the idyllic Cua Dai Beach has been washed away due to the erosion problem. There’s work going on to restore the beach to its former magnificence. Until now, some parts of Cua Dai beach has been restored and in use. However, most of Hoi An’s resorts on Cua Dai Beach have the shuttle buses to An Bang Beach to serve their guests. The distance between these two beaches is only some 3km.
