Itinerary

  1. Welcome to Vietnam!
    Threeland’s private car and Tour guide will pick you up at Hanoi airport to transfer to hotel. Taking a rest until 16.00, our guide will meet you to brief about the following day's information before we stroll around for a short but remarkable food tour inside the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Have dinner with street food. Overnight in Hanoi. 
     

  2. Departure from Hanoi to Hung Lo Communal House at Phu Tho Province with our guide. Situated in the Northern Midland, this House still keeps its original architecture, surrounded by the palm hills and mild sunshine; this is the place where people gather for spiritual activities of memorizing "Thanh Hoang " (the God of each village) and perform their traditional folklore ‘’Hat Xoan” (Xoan singing). Enjoy our lunch at the House or at a local family. "Xoan singing" - a spoonerism of “xuan singing” or "the songs of Spring" and traditional dance will be staged in the afternoon. Amongst numerous folklore types of Northern Vietnam, “Hat Xoan” featured uniquely by the blend of dances and songs, and simple yet impressive costume of the troupe. Back to Hanoi in the afternoon for dinner and relax. Overnight in Hanoi. 

  3. Let’s head to one of the top World Natural Heritages today – Halong Bay. Picked up in the early morning to departure for a two-day cruising on Ha Long and Bai Tu Long Bay, created by some 3,000 islands with large grottoes and sandy beaches. After three hours we will arrive at Tuan chau Marina and check-in our cruise. Enjoy a leisurely lunch onboard with fresh dishes and witness unparalleled scenery of the diverse-shaped islands on the Bays. We will explore pristine Thien Canh Son Cave, following by swimming or kayaking at a white sandy beach of Hon Co island, which may fascinate those having a sense of adventure. Return to the junk and enjoy a peaceful evening with dinner. Overnight on the junk.

  4. Take a deep breath and start a new day with a picturesque view of the blazing sunrise embracing you on the Bay. Along with the crew, we will take a taichi-quan or yoga lesson on the sundeck. Light breakfast will be served soon with snack, cakes, tea and coffee. Another exciting experience awaiting us is embarking on a rustic row-boat to visit the Vung Vieng former fishing village. Afterwards, we will check out our cabins and enjoy an À la carte meal on the way returning to the harbor. The trip does not end after disembarking with a visit to Yen Duc Village, about 01 hrs. from Halong on the way back to Hanoi, where we will immerse in a rural ambience of the Tonkin architecture, highlighted with a Water Puppet Show performed by the local artists. Arrive Hanoi in the evening. Have a leisure time in Hanoi. Dinner at your own account. Overnight in Hanoi.

  5. From Hanoi, head to Son Tay to visit Mia Pagoda, where displays hundreds of ancient statues with different materials from clay to jack wood. The pagoda sticks to a historical story of the Lady Mia, who had a contribution for restoring and extending the small pagoda initially. Move on to Duong Lam Ancient Village nearby which attracts visitors by special laterite houses, tradition of making delicious soya bean sauce and famous Mong Phu Communal House, whose time-honored ambience gives space for many historical drama filming activities. We will also have time to interact with the local residents and enjoy lunch at Duong Lam.  

    Continue the trip to Melia Bavi Mountain Retreat Resort (abt 30km away). We will spend about two hrs. biking around to visit historical ruins in the forest, originally built since the French colony to observe the Black River. Together with Bavi  mountain, this area plays a significant role in the spiritual mindset of Vietnamese people, who believes that Tan mountain (aka Bavi) and the Black River maintain the spiritual power of the country. Returning to Melia and relaxing with spa services, dinner and overnight at Bavi.

    Our exercise: two-hour biking.
     

  6. Easing your body after days of activities with a 1-hour Yoga session or swimming in the morning. Later we will follow our guide trekking about one hour into the forest, following Ngoc Hoa stream to discover the beauty of the national park. Back to hotel to refresh and check-out around 11.30 and returning to Hanoi, having a fine lunch then taking a flight to Dong Hoi, Quang Binh. Welcomed by our Guide and car to take us to Son Doong Bungalow at Phong Nha pier. Boat trip on Son river to enjoy great landscape of the region. Dinner and overnight at the Phong nha.

  7. In the morning our Tour guide will pickup us to the Oxalis headquarters. Have a 45-minute drive before hiking through a rich primary jungle toward the minority Ban Doong Village of Bru and Van kieu ethnic groups. After a light lunch, we’ll continue the journey to Hang En, which is famous for being the third largest cave in the world and the habitat of thousands of swallow birds, we will be amazed by their tantalizing twitter. Have a short rest on a “beach” within the cave, while tents are set up by our porters. The rest of the journey will quench us thirst for adventuring by witnessing the giant open exit which appears on Pan movie and the 300 million years old fossils. Return to the camp to relax and have a grilled dinner. Overnight at Hang En. 

    Our exercise: long trekking.

  8. Awake for breakfast and pack up our belongings. Depart the camp around 09.00 am to leave Hang En. Take one last look at the entrance, almost hidden amongst the jungle. After a short trek, we will have lunch and continue the way back home. Trek for the next hours along a shady path of 4km within the cave and 22km on road, following by a hill with the height difference of 500m. Upon approaching the pick up point, we return to Phong Nha in late afternoon. Overnight in Phong Nha.

  9. Say goodbye to Phong Nha and travel to Hue by the van until noon. Take a rest and have lunch before visiting the dignified Imperial Citadel, where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, the Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, a vast vestige that not only attract visitors with history but tranquil ambience and ancient architecture from the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam. Kim Long Ancient Village will be our next destination, impressing us with various antique houses and soothing greenery and gardens. Continue enjoying the peacefulness, we will have a cyclo tour around the old town to explore the real life of the local people for 30-45 minutes. Overnight in Hue.  

  10. Wake up early in the morning to visit the tiled Thanh Toan Bridge, 7km away from Hue. Indulge ourselves in the local life at the rural market and socialize with the warm-hearted indigenous locals. Enjoy our lunch pack and a light local snack at the bridge. Back to the city, we will arrive to Hue Museum before visiting charming Tu Hieu Pagoda, a significant address for Buddhist people in Hue and the Central Vietnam. Lunch in Hue before going on by our van to Hoi An to deep ourselves in the liveliest, yet ancient and tranquil town with remarkable sites, including the Bridge Pagoda, the old streets that great for strolling around, and Chinese trade meeting house of Phuc Kien and Quang Dong communities. Explore Hoi An by night to enjoy a typical festive atmosphere on the occasion of the 14th day of the month in lunar calendar with the floating activity  the Hoa Dang candle. Overnight in Hoi An.   

  11. Have our Yoga session on An Bang beach with a trainer in the morning, spend time unwinding at the spa or swimming on the crystal clear beach. Our day tour will starts at 10.00 with a trip on motorbike to Tra Que village with large veggie gardens. Ease our body hereby with foot massage before learning how to cook some local foods with Tra Que chef; after  walking around with our guide in Tra Que to study about this unique village with special way of planting vegetables, let’s enjoy a delicious lunch here.  
    Come back to Hoi An in the afternoon, we will go on to visit the sacred land of My Son sanctuary, the vestige  of Cham nation with hundreds amazing towers. Back to the hotel for relaxing later afternoon. Overnight Hoi An.

  12. Moving from Hoi An to Danang Airport  for our flight to Sai Gon. Pickup by our representative in Saigon and transfer to the hotel. A free day in this bustling but authentic Vietnam city is waiting for us to explore. Overnight in Sai Gon. 

  13. At leisure until our driver comes to pickup us to the airport for the departure flight.
