Itinerary

  1. Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival in Hanoi, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel at the Hanoi Old Quarter. Take the rest of the day—perhaps a relaxing walk around Hoan Kiem Lake or seating on a street-side café and savor a cup of Vietnamese egg coffee or traditional iced coffee while watching the bustling streets. Enjoy your way for the rest of day.

  2. Nothing is better than starting the day with a guided bike tour through Hanoi’s vibrant streets, uncovering its hidden gems and rich history. Highlights include:

    • Crossing the iconic Long Bien Bridge, a historical landmark with stunning views of the Red River.
    • Visiting the Saint Joseph Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece reminiscent of Notre Dame.
    • Immersing yourself in the bustling atmosphere of Long Bien Market, one of Hanoi’s busiest wholesale markets.
    • Sampling authentic local snacks at street-side vendors.
    • Exploring a traditional temple, discovering the spiritual side of Hanoi.
    • Navigating through winding alleyways and hidden streets, unveiling the true essence of the city.

    This 3.5-hour tour offers a unique glimpse into Hanoi’s culture, from its dynamic backstreets to peaceful countryside pockets.
    Continue your journey in the afternoon with visits to Ngoc Son Temple on Hoan Kiem Lake and the historic Quan Thanh Temple. Then, enjoy a traditional water puppet show, a captivating performance of Vietnamese folklore.
    As evening falls, embark on a street food tour through the Old Quarter, savoring local delicacies like bánh cuốn, bánh gối, bún chả, and phở. End the night at a lively Bia Hơi spot, tasting fresh draft beer and soaking in Hanoi’s energetic atmosphere.

Start the day with a healthy breakfast at the hotel before boarding a comfortable limousine van for a scenic four-hour drive through the countryside and mountain roads to Pu Luong, a breathtaking nature reserve in Thanh Hoa Province. This hidden gem is renowned for its stunning terraced rice fields, limestone mountains, and traditional Thai and Muong villages.
    Arrived, we will receive a warm welcome at Pu Luong Retreat, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in panoramic views of the rice terraces. After a well-deserved rest, set out on a leisurely guided walk to Bam Village, passing through landscapes and untouched natural beauty. From here, follow an uphill path leading to a viewpoint—an ideal spot to admire the breathtaking surroundings.
    Take a break at a viewpoint stop, where you can sip on a tea or cocktail while taking a traditional herbal foot bath. As the sun begins to set, soak in the tranquil atmosphere before heading back to the retreat for a dinner.
    In the evening, settle into your cozy accommodation, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature, ensuring a restful overnight stay in Pu Luong.

  4. Start the day with a hearty breakfast and a warm cup of tea while soaking in the breathtaking views of Pu Luong. Afterward, meet our friendly local guide at the retreat and embark on a short 7km car ride to Dong Dieng Village, where the adventure begins.
    From here, set off on a scenic trek through the stunning terraced rice fields leading to Kho Muong Village. Along the way, observe how the local guide effortlessly identifies various plants and herbs—an essential skill passed down through generations. Try your hand at recognizing different species and learn about their medicinal properties. The ethnic Thai community is known to identify 20 to 50 different herbs, each used for healing purposes.
    Arrived at Kho Muong, visit a traditional Thai stilt house, where you’ll see how these herbs are carefully prepared for a soothing herbal foot bath. Known for their therapeutic benefits, these natural remedies help with circulation, skin conditions, and common ailments like migraines and fevers.
    Enjoy a home-cooked lunch at a local house, taking time to rest. Afterward, explore the hidden cave of Kho Muong. Continue the journey with a gentle trek to Bang Village, passing through awe-inspiring mountain landscapes and terraced fields before reaching the main road.
    As the day winds down, a car will take you back to the retreat, where you can unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures.

  5. Breakfast and check out in the morning, we’ll have a private transfer to Ninh Binh, known for its gorgeous rock formations. 
    Our first stop will be Trang An for a special boat trip around Trang An complex. Being endowed with a beautiful landscape, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh Province in Northern Viet Nam is called as an “Ha Long Bay on land” with numerous caves, mountains, valley, trees and historic relics. Our local rowers will take you through  Trang An’s cave complex (Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou Cave). Along the river way, you will also have chances to admire the beautiful scenery of mountain and rivers of the popular countryside in Vietnam. After that, we’ll continue to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century, to visit the temple of King Dinh before enjoying a free evening.

  6. After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Halong Bay, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO since 1994 and 2006, and check-in our overnight boat. 
    11:50 – 12:15: Go to the port by a buggy, where the crew and staff will welcome you and assist with the check-in process onto the cruise ship.
    12:30 – 13:00: After boarding the cruise ship, you will enjoy tea and listen to an introduction about the itinerary and safety information for the journey, as well as check-in to your cabin.
    13:15: Have lunch at the onboard restaurant, featuring seafood dishes from Quang Ninh. The cruise ship will start its journey to explore Bai Tu Long Bay, passing through limestone islands and beautiful scenery along the bay.
    14:30: The tour guide will take you to visit Thien Canh Son Cave, where you can explore the natural beauty of the cave with unique stalactites formed over thousands of years.
    15:00: Join a kayaking excursion to discover the limestone islands in the bay before returning to the cruise ship.
    16:15: Back to the cruise ship and enjoy a sunset cruise on Bai Tu Long Bay.
    17:15: Join a Vietnamese cooking class.
    19:00: Rest and have dinner in a quiet and romantic atmosphere on the bay.
    20:00: Free time to relax and you can also join the experience of squid fishing. Spend the night on Bai Tu Long Bay

  7. 07:00 – 07:15: Morning view of the Bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast is served on the cruise ship.
    07:45: Transfer by bamboo boat to visit Vung Vieng fishing village, where you can explore the unique way of life and the beautiful scenery of the fishing village amidst the natural heritage.
    08:45: Back to the cruise ship for relaxation and leisure time.
    09:45 – 10:00: Check-out and enjoy some leisure time to relax and capture memorable moments as the cruise ship journeys through the stunning limestone island area.
    10:15: Enjoy a Set Menu Lunch while the cruise ship continues its journey on the bay.
    11:30: The cruise returns to the International Port of Ha Long. 
    After check out, you will transfer to Hanoi train station for your overnight train to Hue. Overnight on the train.

  8. Morning pick-up from the train station. 
    Start the day with a healthy breakfast at local restaurant before heading to the Imperial City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the historic Citadel, including the Forbidden Purple City, Thai Hoa Palace, and ancient gates. Continue to Thien Mu Pagoda, a serene and iconic Buddhist temple overlooking the Perfume River.
    After lunch, continue your day to Tam Giang Lagoon, a tranquil and picturesque destination about 40 minutes from Hue city. You’ll get on a boat tour across the vast lagoon, taking in the peaceful scenery and unique ecosystem. Visit Ru Cha Mangrove Forest, a green sanctuary home to diverse wildlife.
    For a truly experience, you will join local fishermen in their daily activities. Learn traditional fishing techniques, such as casting nets or using bamboo traps, and try your hand at catching fish the way locals have for generations. Engage in conversations with the fishermen, hear their stories about life on the water, and gain insight into their sustainable fishing practices.
    As the day winds down, relax on the boat and witness the breathtaking sunset over the lagoon. This serene moment perfectly captures the beauty of this land.
    For the evening, you will take a homestay at Tam Giang.

  9. After breakfast, you will depart for Hoi An on a scenic drive through the legendary Hai Van Pass, one of the most breathtaking coastal roads in Vietnam. Along the way, take in panoramic views of the East Sea, mountains, and beaches, with opportunities to stop for photos at the most picturesque spots.
    Arrival in Hoi An, you’ll check in at a local homestay in Tra Que Village, a peaceful farming community known for its organic herb gardens. Take some time to rest and enjoy a home-cooked lunch prepared by your host, offering a taste of authentic Vietnamese hospitality.
    In the afternoon, embark on a cycling tour around Tra Que Village, pedaling along scenic countryside paths lined with rice fields, water buffalo, and small traditional villages. Upon reaching the vibrant vegetable farms, immerse yourself in the local way of life by trying your hand at gardening activities, such as planting, watering, and harvesting fresh herbs. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and gain insight into the sustainable farming practices that have been passed down for generations. In the end noon, returning to your homestay for joining a home cooking class and enjoy a family dinner.

Start the day with a leisurely walk through Hoi An’s enchanting Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved ancient streets, lantern-lit alleyways, and historic merchant houses. As you stroll, admire the blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and French architecture, stopping by iconic landmarks such as:

    • The Japanese Covered Bridge – A beautifully crafted wooden bridge dating back to the 16th century.
    • Tan Ky Ancient House – A historic home showcasing traditional Vietnamese and Chinese influences.
    • Fujian Assembly Hall – A striking temple dedicated to the sea goddess, believed to protect sailors.
    • Local Artisan Shops & Cafés – Browse tailor shops, handicraft stores, and cozy cafés serving Hoi An’s signature Vietnamese coffee.

    Feel free to immerse yourself in the town’s peaceful charm, capturing photos of colorful lanterns and riverside scenery.
    In the afternoon, enjoy your way at An Bang or Cua Dai Beach, where you can soak up the sun, dip into the blue waters, or simply relax with a fresh coconut, beer in hand. The golden sands and gentle waves provide the perfect setting for a peaceful and rejuvenating break.
    After a day of exploration and relaxation, return to your homestay and enjoy the evening at your own pace—perhaps with a spa session or a romantic dinner by the river (guests ‘own arrangement).

  11. Early check out, bid farewell to the charm of Hoi An and transfer to Da Nang International Airport for a flight to Can Tho, the vibrant heart of the Mekong Delta
    Upon arrival, head toward Ben Tre. Known as the “Rice Bowl of Vietnam,” the Mekong Delta is a vast network of rivers, canals, and villages where life revolves around the water. Upon arrival, board a traditional wooden boat and cruise along the Mekong River, passing fishing boats, coconut groves, and fruit gardens.
    The journey leads to Turtle Island, a peaceful islet where time seems to slow down. Here, immerse yourself in the tranquility of the countryside, surrounded by fruit orchards, coconut farms, and traditional tiny houses. Stop by a local home to enjoy tropical fruits and tea while listening to traditional southern folk music, a cultural treasure of the region.
    Continue the experience with a cycling trip around the island, pedaling along winding village paths shaded by towering coconut trees. Pass by rice fields, meet friendly locals, and witness the simple yet harmonious way of life in the Delta.

  12. On the final day of your journey, we will visit Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House - a beautifully preserved historical site that blends Vietnamese, Chinese, and French architecture. Built in 1895, this house was once the residence of Huynh Thuy Le, a wealthy Chinese-Vietnamese businessman, and is best known as the setting for Marguerite Duras’ famed novel The Lover—a semi-autobiographical story inspired by her real-life romance with Huynh Thuy Le. The ancient house offers a glimpse into Vietnam’s colonial past, a legendary romance, and a beautifully preserved piece of history in the heart of the Mekong Delta. After a memorable morning exploring, we will begin our journey back to Saigon in the afternoon.
    Upon arrival, continue your exploration in Saigon, starting at Cach Mang Thang Tam Square, home to the elegant Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Saigon Central Post Office. From there, take a short walk to the Reunification Palace (outside visit) before concluding the tour at Ben Thanh Market, where you can soak in the bustling atmosphere of Saigon’s most famous marketplace.
    Heading to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your return flight. Wishing you a safe journey home!
