    Arriving in Hanoi

    Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to the city center for hotel check-in.
    Note: Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM.
    The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore at your own pace.

    Day 02

    Hanoi City Tour

    After breakfast at your hotel, our guide will meet you for a leisurely walk around Hoan Kiem Lake. Stop by Ngoc Son Temple to learn about the spiritual culture of Hanoi’s people.

    Continue with a short transfer to the French Quarter, where you’ll walk past colonial buildings and hear stories of Vietnam during the French occupation. The walk leads to Quan Thanh Temple—a peaceful spiritual site rich in cultural significance.

    Next, head to Ba Dinh Square to view the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the National Assembly Hall. Learn about Vietnam’s modern history and its path to independence. Then, delve deeper into a nearby residential area to observe daily local life and visit Huu Tiep Lake, where the wreckage of a B-52 bomber from the 1972 war still remains—a powerful reminder of the past.

    For lunch, enjoy a meal with a local family to experience home-cooked Vietnamese cuisine, followed by a lakeside coffee break.

    Optional: Enjoy lunch at a Bia Hoi restaurant and discover Vietnam’s unique draft beer culture.

    In the afternoon, visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to learn about the country’s diverse ethnic groups—a perfect introduction before visiting minority villages in northern Vietnam.

    End the day with a visit to Hoa Lo Prison, also known as the "Hanoi Hilton," which housed both French-era political prisoners and American POWs during the Vietnam War.
    Return to your hotel to rest after a full day of discovery.

    Day 03

    Hanoi – Bavi - Mai Chau

    Breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to Ba Vi
    Arrive to At Ri Village, meet Mr. Duoc, a war veteran and tea grower. Hear his stories and join him in picking and processing tea leaves at his traditional workshop.

    Then head to Moc Village, where Mrs. Chin will guide you through a hands-on Vietnamese cooking class using fresh, local ingredients. Enjoy the lunch you’ve prepared together.

    After lunch, take a relaxing bike ride through the village to visit local families practicing tofu-making, conical hat weaving, and other rural crafts.

    Depart for Mai Chau (3-hour scenic drive). Upon arrival, check in to a cozy eco homestay and enjoy a traditional Thai dinner followed by a vibrant local dance and music performance.
    Overnight in Mai Chau.

    Day 04

    Cycling Mai Chau (20km)

    Start your day with a peaceful breakfast at the homestay. Then, set out on a biking tour through Mai Chau’s lush rice fields. Stop at the Hoa Ban Social Protecting Center, which supports disadvantaged Thai women, to learn about traditional weaving and natural dyeing. Join a hands-on workshop and take home your handmade creation.

    Enjoy a delicious homemade lunch at the homestay.
    In the afternoon, continue your biking adventure along the valley to Mai Hich village, a charming rural village known for its stilt houses and friendly people. The road winds beautifully among the rice fields.

    Arrive at the village in the late afternoon and check into a local Retreat. Relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. Dinner will be served by the host family, offering a chance to share moment together.

    Day 05

    Mai Chau – Moc Chau - Quynh Nhai

    Wake up to breakfast with a view overlooking the rice fields. Today, you will transfer northeast to Quynh Nhai, a village on the Da River.

    On the way, stop at Moc Chau to enjoy the fresh air and take a short walk through a tea plantation, observing local daily life.
    Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, continue your journey to Quynh Nhai. Arrive in the late afternoon and check into a hotel overlooking the Da River, situated in the heart of the Thai community. Dinner will offer a taste of Thai cuisine.

    Day 06

    Quynh Nhai – Kayaking

    Today is a fun day full of water activities. After breakfast, you will board a boat and begin your kayaking adventure with a speed boat supports all day.

    Your first visit will be to Love Island, where you can swim and kayak in the clear blue water. Your adventure continues along the riverbank, where you can see Thai villages and local fishermen at work.
    Take a break to explore a local village on the riverside to have lunch, and walk through the local houses
    and experience authentic ethnic life

    In the late afternoon, Return to the hotel by a car and then it’s time for rest and enjoying a dinner featuring fresh fish from the river.

    Day 07

    Quynh Nhai – Muong Lay

    Today, you will take a 3 hours bus trip up the Da River to Muong Lay. The road offers beautiful views of mountain and river, with the local village and stunning landscapes.

    Arrive in Muong Lay in the afternoon, take a lunch break at a local restaurant. Check into your hotel, and rest a bit. Afterward, embark on a leisurely biking tour through the villages of Muong Lay, observe local daily lives and there are chances to hand on some farming activities.
    Return to the hotel for dinner.

    Day 08

    Muong Lay – Sin Ho

    Today, you will transfer 2 hours on a scenic road uphill to Sin Ho, a mountainous village that is home to the Hmong people. Upon arrival, you will set out on an 8km trekking tour through some remote villages, with a picnic lunch along the way.

    In the late afternoon, return to the center of Sin Ho for a night in a guesthouse. Enjoy the fresh air and a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

    Sin Ho – Si Thau Chai Village

    Wake up to the crisp mountain air. If it’s a weekend, you’ll have the unique chance to visit a vibrant local market, where ethnic minority people gather to trade fresh produce, handmade goods, and daily necessities — a lively scene of colors, scents, and friendly chatter.

    After breakfast, set off on a scenic 2-hour drive to Tam Duong, following winding mountain roads with breathtaking panoramas at every turn. Upon arrival, take a refreshing break to explore a picturesque waterfall before continuing uphill to Si Thau Chai Village — a charming Hmong community known for its warm hospitality and traditional way of life.

    Here, you’ll be welcomed by your host family and shown to your room in a cozy homestay. After a hearty lunch, spend the afternoon wandering through the village’s narrow paths, admiring its neat houses, blooming flower gardens, and a small handicraft shop where locals weave and embroider by hand. The peaceful atmosphere here offers a gentle pause after days of adventure.

    As evening falls, join your hosts in the kitchen to prepare a traditional dinner, learning about local recipes and cooking techniques. Enjoy the meal together in true family style before settling in for a restful night in the cool mountain air.

    Si Thau Chai Village – Sapa

    After breakfast, bid farewell to the peaceful mountain life of Si Thau Chai and begin your journey to Sapa. The drive takes you along the legendary O Quy Ho Pass, one of Vietnam’s most scenic mountain roads, offering sweeping views of deep valleys and towering peaks.

    Make a stop at Heaven’s Gate for a breathtaking panorama and visit the romantic Love Waterfall, hidden within the lush national park.
    Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Sapa town before checking into your hotel.

    Sapa – Muong Hoa Valley

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a 10km trekking tour that takes you through the villages of Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, and Ta Van, offering beautiful views of rice terraces and the Hmong community.
    Lunch will be at a local restaurant in Lao Chai village.

    Continue walking until you reach Ta Van village, home to the Giay ethnic people. Check into a homestay and rest. You may be interested in a cooking class with the host family and then enjoying a dinner together. Stay overnight here.

    Muong Hoa Valley – Sapa - Hanoi

    This morning, set off on your final trek in the picturesque Muong Hoa Valley, walking about 5 km to Giang Ta Chai Village, home of the Red Dao people. Here, you’ll have the chance to observe their traditional attire, unique customs, and daily life amidst terraced rice fields and bamboo groves.

    Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Sapa town. Take some time to explore Sapa Market, a lively hub where ethnic minority vendors gather to sell handwoven textiles, herbal remedies, and local produce — perfect for finding unique souvenirs.

    Later, drive to Lao Cai City, a border town between Vietnam and China. Pause at the border gate for a brief visit before heading to the train station. Board your comfortable overnight train with a soft bed and air conditioning, and transfer back to Hanoi.

    Hanoi – Ha Long Bay

    Arriving in Hanoi early (around 5:00 AM), you’ll witness the city at its most peaceful — when locals gather by the lakes and parks for Tai Chi, yoga, dancing, jogging, or cycling. Savor a steaming bowl of phO (with beef or chicken) at a local favorite, followed by the signature creamy egg coffee, as the capital slowly comes alive.

    Next, set off on a scenic 2.5-hour drive along the highway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay. Upon arrival, step aboard your comfortable cruise, check into your cabin, and enjoy a welcome drink. A freshly prepared lunch will be served as you glide past dramatic limestone karsts rising from blue water.

    In the afternoon, depending on your cruise’s itinerary, you may explore a fascinating cave, visit a floating fishing village, and take to the water for kayaking or a refreshing swim at a secluded beach. Return to the boat in time for a magical sunset over the bay, perhaps with tea or a cocktail in hand.
    Dinner is served on board, followed by a peaceful night’s sleep surrounded by the gentle lapping of the waves.

    Halong Bay – Hanoi

    Around midday, disembark and begin your journey back to Hanoi.
