Itinerary

  1. Welcome to Hanoi!

    The tourguide of Threeland will meet you at the airport to transfer to your hotel located in the Hanoi centre. After a break, start our visit at the grand, peaceful Temple of Literature, the very first high school of Vietnam where many students wish to pay a visit for good success before their significant exams. Go on to Hoan Kiem Lake, the soul of the city, visit its surrounding landscape including Ngoc Son Temple and the statue of King Ly Thai To to intermingle with Hanoi hospitable people in their daily life. Day finished with an exciting original show of Water Pupperty, a Vietnam traditional entertaining stage art loved by all Vietnamese kids and adults. Dinner with delicious Vietnamese traditional foods. Overnight in Hanoi.

  2. Morning visit the Museum of Ethnology, where you can find an excellent full collection of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam and wonderful implications of artifacts and patterns from their traditional handicrafts and clothes. Drive to the suburb of Hanoi to experience the textile art of Northern Vietnamese at Van Phuc village, where silk has been produced centuries ago. We can enjoy the progress of making silk on the machines hereby, or purchase numerous types of silks, seta, tussore, satin and so forth. Back to Hanoi for lunch. This afternoon we will stroll around local exciting markets in central Hanoi before joining a cooking class to learn the art of Vietnam delicateness. Enjoy a dinner with foods made by yourselves. Overnight in Hanoi.

  3. After breakfast, the driver will pick-up you at your hotel to travel about 3h30 to Halong Bay, passing by many rural villages and picturesque paddy fields. Upon arriving in Halong, you will join a Junk cruising over the bay to  enjoy your perfect leisure.

    Being designated as a World Heritage since 1994, Halong is a marvellous place with magnificent seascape and nearly 3,000 islets and rocks, where you can spontaneously go swimming, visit limestone caves or just lie down on the sundeck and relax. Lunch and Dinner of seafoods served onboard; overnight on the sea.

    Please note! The guide today will be onboard only, not during the transfer.

  4. Welcome sunrise by yoga or taichi-quan exercises on the sundeck before your breakfast. Meanwhile, our junk will continue to sail the bay between its odd-shaped islets for your enjoyment before back to the Wharf. The driver and private car of THREELAND will wait for you here to return to Hanoi. You can stopover at Dong Trieu ceramic village or Hong Ngoc Charity centre for visits or refreshment. Arriving in Hanoi around 3pm or so. At your leisure in the rest of the day. Overnight in Hanoi (breakfast, brunch on the Junk included).

  5. At your leisure till the guide and driver pick-up you to the airport for flight Hanoi – Danang. Welcomed at Danang airport by the local Threeland guide and driver to transfer to the city. Visit Cham Museum which reserves a lot of cultural exhibits of the Cham people, one of remarkable ethnic groups in Vietnam, who have been strongly influenced by Hinduism. The visit may help you discover more details of this religion, especially the sacred worship and respect of the Cham people toward the reproduction. Have lunch in Danang before carrying on to Hoian, a tranquil ancient seaport developed and collapsed during 17th – 19th century. When strolling around old traders’ houses, shrines, small museums and the famous Bridge Temple of Hoian, we can feel the inspiration of numerous Vietnamese and forergn artists, who consider Hoian  a museum-in-the-open-air. Dinner and overnight in Hoian.

  6. After breakfast, we will depart from Hoian to My Son, where you can discover the hidden treasure of the Cham culture that once brightfully developed in the location of present Central Vietnam. Thanks to the mystery and contruction secrets of the Cham towers hereby, My Son had been also designated by UNESCO as one of the five World Heritages in Vietnam. The visit to Cham Museum on previous day would help you understand this sanctuary even better. Have lunch before going on to a farm of vegetables and herbs in Tra Que, a little charming village in Hoian’s suburb.

    In this small village, the new spirit of Hoian traditional foods like Cao Lau, Quang Noodles, Tam huu springrolls have been enlivened. Take a walk round the vegetable gardens and join the peasants in a sequence of planting Tra Que herbs, learn how to turn over the soil, fertilize it with weed from Tra Que local pool or harvest the vegetable and so on. After working time, the family owning the garden will teach you prepare and cook a delicious dinner with those foods typified for Central Vietnamese traditional recipes, using a lot of herbs in Tra Que. Back to Hoian after dinner, overnight in Hoian.

  7. At your leisure until the tour guide pick-up you to Danang airport for the morning flight to Saigon. Welcomed in Saigon. Have a lunch at “Ngon” (Delicacy) restaurant with Vietnamese traditional buffet style before checking-in your hotel in the city centre and having a rest. This afternoon we will have a light visit in Saigon, the most fascinating hub of Vietnam, with stopovers at Ngoc Hoang pagoda and the Notre Dame Cathedral, from where you can choose to visit the Old Post Office or Reunification Palace. Walk  around Dong Khoi, Nguyen Hue shopping areas up to Ben Thanh to enjoy its evening market. Overnight in Saigon. (Dinner at your own arrangement).

  8. After breakfast, visit the hectic China Town of Saigon, including Binh Tay Market and Thien Hau temple. Visit the best shopping malls of Saigon. After lunch, you will have your own time just to relax in Saigon. Dinner at your own arrangement. Overnight in Saigon.

  9. At your leisure today until our tourguide come to pick up you to the airport for your departure flight.
