5 DAY(S) Classic Tours
Saigon - Tay Ninh - Cu Chi Tunnels - Cai Be - Can Tho - Saigon
Xin Chao! Welcome to Saigon (now known as Ho Chi Minh City) – the most hectic and business city of Vietnam. Upon arrival at the airport, welcomed by the local tour guide and transfer to the city center to check in hotel.
Afternoon, we start the city tour at the Reunification Palace, the witness of the fierce Vietnam War ended in 1975. The grand building today is a Museum and Hall of official receptions. Nearby the Palace are the colonial-styled Central Post Office, one of the city’s major landmarks. Have a walking tour on Nguyen Hue street to take the photos of the Opera House and the Ho Chi Minh Committee (outside). From here, walking to Ben Thanh Market one of the most typical symbol of Saigon to experience the daily life of the locals and do shopping the hand-made goods there. Overnight in Saigon.
Breakfast at hotel. Morning, head to visit the Cao Dai Temple, located in Tay Ninh province. Surrounded by a series of schools and administrative buildings, the temple contains an awesome array of colors and symbols unlike anything else you will see in Vietnam. Attend a Caodaism ritual praying at noon, a unique example of the combination of the Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity and Islam. Afternoon, back to explore Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the Vietnam War. Beneath the ground lie 200 km of tunnels, dug by hand and inhabited by the forces of the Vietnamese guerillas during the conflict. At its peak, prior to the Tet Offensive in 1968, the tunnel complex was base to almost 10,000 troops. To this day, it remains one of the most impressive examples of how fierce the war used to be. Return to Saigon and overnight in Saigon.
This morning you set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for its floating market. Here you will board your private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals and stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch at your own account , including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish'. You will continue your exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta and toward the end of the day you will arrive in Can Tho city, the heart of Mekong Delta, for overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will take a boat and explore the floating market at Cai Rang , one of the most exciting floating markets in the Mekong Delta. Following this, you will rendezvous with your vehicle for the drive to the town of My Tho, where you will visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda and the Dong Tam snake farm (optional) before your return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Breakfast at the hotel. If your flight is in the afternoon, you will have free time for own explore and shopping before transferring to the airport for the departure flight back to your sweet home.

Fantastic trip. Loved zooming along the river in a speedboat, certainly beats a bus. Took the early trip so got to the tunnels well before the crowds. Our guide Hang was very knowledgeable and also entertaining. I highly recommend this tour, we were very well looked after in all respects.
Had a great time travelling up the river, tour and then amazing lunch before our trip back. We were a family of 5 with limited time in HCM, so this trip met our needs from a time perspective and was enjoyable trip up the river to see other sights on our way.
These floating markets are gradually giving way to progress as land based markets are starting to predominate.local hand cravats and food products are available. While you are here, make sure you see theFrench built Catholic Church in the town Date of experience: August 2019
The motorised boat trip and canoe ride were safe and interesting. The river itself is huge as it was the beginning of the rainy season. You see a lot of poverty and nothing really interesting other than the floating markets. They really need to educate the locals not to use the river as a dumping ground for garbage and especially plastic bottles! I didn’t notice any of the tourists doing this
We have enjoyed the afternoon tour. The tour was well organised in a small group. Our guide Tuan shared with us not only interesting information about the tunnels but also shared his personal story as an ex Vietnamese soldier.
Cu Chi tunnels were one of the reasons we wanted to visit Ho Chi Minh City. With the help of our tour guide Tu we had learned a lot about the tunnels, vietnamese history and culture. Tu is a very talkative and friendly guide with a voice of an angel (at the end he sang a song for us). I would definitely recommend this tour for everyone that considered going on it.
We have 2 and we paid $10 each for 4 hours tour with these lovely vietnamese tourists and other, we have a lot to eat from hai guide us. He is good singing too by his folk southern music, we learnt a lot kind of trees from him. Highly recommend this acency and pick hai your guide as well.
