Description

This 5-day tour will give you an opportunity to discover the charming beauty of the provinces in the South of Vietnam in general and the energetic Saigon ( Ho Chi Minh City ) in particular. You won't miss the chance to observe or experience life underground in the famous historic Cu Chi tunnels and explore the vibrant Mekong Delta by boating among intricate waterways with colorful markets, ending with gorgeous countryside landscapes, of rural area where arroyos, fish farms and tropical fruits are abundant.

Feeling the metropolitan pulse of Saigon, sleepless city at night but feeling the charming French colonial buildings line wide and elegant boulevards with a hub of shopping centers in daily life; visiting to its highlight sites of history and architecture.
Roling play as a Vietnamese guerrilla at the famous Vietnam War-era tunnels at Cu Chi to experience life underground.
Exploring the Mekong River Delta with a boat trip along a less-touristy route to see the vibrant lifestyle of rural area, meeting and interacting with local people.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome to Saigon the most dynamic city in Vietnam.
    Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, welcomed by the driver and transfer to the center of Saigon to check-in hotel (Hotel normal check-in time is 14:00). At leisure to relax and get rid of jet lag. Overnight in Saigon. 
     

  2. Breakfast at hotel. We start the city tour at the Reunification Palace, the witness of the fierce Vietnam War ended in 1975. The grand building today is a Museum and Hall of official receptions. Nearby the Palace are the colonial-styled Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883 and one of the city’s major landmarks. Our last stop this morning will be War Remnants Museum. 


    In the afternoon, we drive overland to Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese guerrillas to protect the region against the American attacks during the Vietnam War. We can even crawl a part inside the tunnel, visit their infirmary, kitchen.... to discover how people had survived hereby. Back to your hotel later on. Overnight in Saigon.
     

  3. Breakfast at hotel. Pick up at your hotel and start the trip to My Tho. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising around four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking in the village paths to contemplate orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, and Vietnamese folk music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. Be rowed in a small sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business & bee-keeping farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. Break time.
    The afternoon is time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meeting the local people to experience their daily life in the Mekong delta. Relaxing on hammocks to enjoy the cool breeze is for those do not want to join the cycling trip. Proceed to Can Tho and check-in the hotel. Overnight in Can Tho.
     

  4. Breakfast at the hotel. Take a leisure boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River) then visit to Cai Rang floating market which is the liveliest one in the whole of region. Walking trip to visit the fruit plantation and local noodle factory. Visit Binh Thuy communal house and Munir Ansay Pagoda - a Khmer pagoda, renowned for its unique structure. Return to Saigon and overnight in Saigon.

  5. Breakfast at hotel. Time at leisure until check out the hotel (Normal check out time is 12:00) and transfer to the airport with driver for the departure flight.Breakfast at hotel.
