Really enjoyed halong cruise and thought the foood, activities and staff were fantastic. Spacious room
This was a very relaxing trip and one not to miss, on the first day we were offered either kayaking or swimming on the beach, we opted for the later, we were taken to one of the rocks and walked thru a cave to come out the other side to a small beach where you could swim. The next morning we went to the large cave unless your quite fit best not to do this one as lots of steps up and down, but a very enjoyable time on the boat
Our guide was full of energy & information about Hanoi food culture. We were a small group of just 3 vegetarians that day. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with tasty dishes and bit of history & culture with every dish. She gave us tips on where to go the next day as well. Highly recommend. Thanks Kelly. You made it a memorable one.
This location is really very impressive and there are a lot of things to see. Take your time to see the many many details outside and inside the buildings. If possible come earlier in the morning to avoid a bit the masses of people and the heat.
The temple is..just over the top and I had no words when I saw the structure..The building is claimed to be the biggest man made religious structure for a reason. It is too beautiful to be true and we spent more than 3 hours looking around the beautiful temple and the carvings that are available on the pillars..statues..walls etc..It is a once in a lifetime visit!!
The cruise was excellent value. My husband thoroughly enjoyed Halong bay experience
Visited War Remnants Museum as part of a day tour and it was fantastic. If you are a war history buff you will love this museum. A lot of artifacts and information and there are even army tanks, aircraft, guns and battle equipment. Great insight into the Vietnam war. Recommend a visit.
I guess my generation never truly understood the perils of the Vietnam war. The museum opened my eyes to the atrocities during the Vietnam War. If you're in Saigon, you'll have to visit this for sure to understand the history of Vietnam.
Our family did 2 days 1 night boat cruise in Halong bay and it was amazing. Loved the limestone formation, cave visit and kayaking in beautiful scenery. This is definately a must visit in Vietnam.
My mum visited this place 56 years ago so I suspect the roads and crowds have changed a bit, but it's still so impressive. Get a guide because you will get some a deeper understanding of the place.
