   HALF DAY TOUR VISIT SIEM REAP

   Guide and car will pick you up at hotel to visit Floating Villages, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap.

    

   Take a ride in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia and the largest in Asia.Tonle Sap Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, located in the heart of Cambodia. It plays a crucial role in the country's ecosystem and economy, serving as a vital source of fish and irrigation for local communities. The lake is unique due to its seasonal expansion and contraction, driven by the flow of the Mekong River, which causes it to dramatically increase in size during the rainy season. Surrounding the lake are numerous floating villages, where communities live in stilt houses and depend on fishing as their primary livelihood. The lake is also home to a rich biodiversity, including rare bird species, making it an important ecological site and a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve.
