8:30 The transfer picks you up from your hotel in Cat Ba town to Cat Ba National Park. If you stay out of town, kindly contact us for a convenient pick-up point.
9:00 After getting some practical suggestions from your tour guide, you start trekking for about 1 hour to Ngu Lam Peak on the well-paved steps, passing through Kim Giao forest.
You will enjoy the biodiversity with green layers of trees covered along the way, bringing fresh air and an authentic feeling of nature.
The road gradually increases in difficulty, with some bends around the sharp, rugged cliffs, but uncomplicated enough that the majority of visitors can experience it.
Especially the last 300m before reaching the top of Ngu Lam, with cliffs and surrounded by old tree roots, will be a very cool experience.
When you reach the top of Ngu Lam, you can stretch your eyesight over cloud seas to a far distance and view the whole National Park lying in the marvelous emerald water of Lan Ha Bay.
Take a short rest for photography in 20 minutes. Then walk down to return to the foot of the mountain.
10:30 Our local tour guide leads you to Trung Trang Cave, a natural cave system through the mountain with a length of about 300m and has stalactite formations with various unique shapes.
Trung Trang cave also preserves many traces of the Vietnam nation's heroic history.
Legend has it that foreign invaders have repeatedly invaded Cat Ba archipelago because this is an important strategic site of our country.
Monarch Trung Trang summoned men to the sea to fight the enemy to protect the homeland and the people on the island.
After helping the people repel the enemy, Monarch Trung Trang returns to this cave to protect the island's peaceful life.
Since then, the people on the island named it Trung Trang cave.
