In the morning, Leave the city behind and journey north on a scenic 5-hour drive on sleeping bus toward Sapa, climbing into the rugged Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
After lunch at a local restaurant and hotel check-in, begin your first gentle warm-up walk to Cat Cat Village, known for traditional Black Hmong craft-making and mountain valley views.
Spend the rest of the evening exploring Sapa town at your own pace.

Today marks the beginning of your true trekking adventure. Lace up your boots as you embark on a 10 km medium-to-hard trek from Sapa to Ta Phin Village, nestled in the heart of the mountains.
The trek begins with a steady ascent through the misty hills, gaining elevation from 1,350m to Cowhill at 2,400m. The higher you climb, the more spectacular the views become—vast stretches of terraced rice fields, lush valleys, and towering peaks framed by the clouds. The trail is remote, offering a sense of solitude rarely found in more visited areas, and provides sweeping vistas of the rugged landscape.
Along the way, enjoy a picnic lunch amid nature, surrounded by the sounds of birds and the rustling wind through the trees.
As you descend into the valley, the landscape transforms into rich farmland, where you’ll find yourself in the heart of the Red Dao community. Known for their distinctive red clothing and intricate silver jewelry, the Red Dao people live harmoniously with nature and maintain strong cultural traditions that date back centuries.
Arrive in Ta Phin Village, where your hosts await. Settle into a cozy family homestay, where you’ll be welcomed with warmth and hospitality. After the trek, treat yourself to a traditional herbal bath, renowned for its relaxing and rejuvenating qualities. The soothing herbal steam is the perfect remedy for tired muscles after a long day’s trek.

After a hearty breakfast, set out on today’s trek, a 6 km journey that takes you through quiet, untouched valleys and small hamlets. As you traverse the landscape, the road winds through terraced rice fields and corn plantations tucked between towering limestone hills, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop.
Arrive at Ban Khoang Village, where you’ll be transferred to Ta Giang Phinh, a stunning Black Hmong valley nestled beneath the towering ridges of Ngu Chi Son Mountain. This dramatic peak, one of the highest in northern Vietnam, looms above the valley, adding a sense of grandeur to the already awe-inspiring landscape.

After lunch, enjoy a leisurely walk around the valley. Take in the rhythm of daily life as you pass by indigo-dyed clothing drying on wooden fences, water buffalo grazing lazily in the fields. This is a glimpse into the everyday life of the Black Hmong people.
Later, continue by vehicle to Muong Hum, a peaceful little town tucked into the mountains, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse. The dinner will be spent in a local restaurant, where food will be served—filled with the bold flavors of northern Vietnamese cuisine.

Today’s journey takes you through some of the most scenic mountain roads in northern Vietnam, where mist often clings to the high ridges, casting an ethereal glow over the landscapes. As you approach Y Ty, a border region renowned for its cloud valleys and dramatic rice terraces, the views become nothing short of breathtaking.
At Y Ty, leave the vehicle behind and begin trekking into a remote Ha Nhi ethnic village, known for its unique architecture. As you walk through the village, you’ll gain insight into the daily life of the Ha Nhi people—learn about their agricultural practices, including rice and corn farming, and discover how their distinctive homes are built using ancient methods passed down through generations.

After lunch, continue trekking along the border-side trails, passing through more remote villages and tranquil valleys. This is a chance to reflect on the beauty of the land, with sweeping vistas in every direction.
Later, your vehicle will pick you up for the descent to Lao Cai City, where you’ll check in at your hotel for a well-deserved rest.
For dinner, enjoy a fusion of Vietnamese and Chinese flavors at a local restaurant.

Begin your day with a visit to the Lao Cai border gate, a key crossing point between Vietnam and China. Afterward, continue your journey to Bac Ha, a town renowned as the cultural heartland of the Flower Hmong people. This region is famous for its vibrant traditional costumes, colorful markets, and rich cultural heritage.
Upon arrival near Bac Ha, drop off your bus and start trekking to Ban Pho Village, a picturesque settlement surrounded by lush plum orchards and cornfields. The trek takes you through landscapes where local farmers continue to work the land using traditional methods that have remained largely unchanged for generations.
Enjoy a break with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, continue your trek as you descend toward Bac Ha town, passing through serene landscapes and small Hmong villages along the way. This is an opportunity to observe the daily rhythms of life in the mountains and interact with the local communities.
Arrive in Bac Ha town and check in at your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a hearty dinner at a local restaurant.

After breakfast, transfer to Nam Mon, where today’s trek begins. Follow a gentle downhill trail toward Trung Do, a serene Tay ethnic village nestled beside the Chay River. The walk offers beautiful scenery—bamboo forests, terraced fields, and wooden stilt houses appearing as you approach the valley floor.
At Trung Do, explore the village on foot:
• Stroll between traditional stilt houses shaded by fruit trees
• Visit the local temple, an important spiritual site for the Tay community
• Enjoy a home-cooked lunch with a local family, a chance to experience authentic northern Vietnamese hospitality
After lunch, board a boat for a scenic river journey to Bao Nhai, passing quiet riverbanks, grazing water buffalo, and lush countryside.
Disembark at Bao Nhai and transfer by vehicle back to Lao Cai city. Take a fresh shower and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before boarding the night train to Hanoi, where you’ll spend the night in a soft sleeper cabin.
Your train arrives early in Hanoi. Transfer to your hotel for the rest and breakfast.
Today is leisure at your own space, free to walk into the city and simply relax at your hotel.

Wake up, check out & enjoy breakfast before departing for Halong Bay. The drive takes about 2 hours, passing through peaceful countryside and small villages.
Upon arrival at the port, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the cruise crew before checking into your cabin. As the boat begins to glide into the maze of limestone islands, settle in and enjoy the stillness of the bay—its calm emerald waters and towering karsts offer the perfect place to unwind after days of trekking.
A freshly prepared lunch is served on board as the cruise sails deeper into the UNESCO-listed landscapes.
In the afternoon, activities vary depending on your choosen cruise, but typically include experiences such as:
• Visiting one of Halong’s impressive limestone caves
• Kayaking into quiet lagoons.
• Swimming in secluded coves.
• Or simply relaxing on deck with the sea breeze and panoramic views.
• Vietnamese dishes cooking class.

Wake up early to greet the day over the tranquil waters of Halong Bay. Join a Tai Chi or Yoga session on the deck as the first light of the sunrise acrosses the limestone karsts—a serene way to start the morning.
