Discover a fun and interesting weekend in Hanoi by participating in a range of events and activities including as art exhibits, market fairs, and seafood delights.

"The Weight of Things" is an exhibition.

Eddie Ryan, a design educator and photographer from London who presently lives and works in Vietnam, will have an exhibition "The Weight of Things" at Matca Space for Photography.

The images in the show depict the artist's personal and cultural journey as an emigrant forced to leave his home and adjust to a new society.

The title "The Weight of Things" relates to the emigrant's emotional and psychological load. The pictures depict commonplace goods that have been moved, are in limbo, or are being utilized as symbols of protection by migrants. They also expose the nuanced characteristics of a culture that relies on migrant labor, such as its laws, values, and aspirations.

It is open everyday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from June 29 to July 31. The event will take place at Matca Space for Photography, which is located at 48 Ngoc Ha Street in Hanoi's Ba Dinh District. Entry is free.

"Peculiar Interfaces" is an exhibition on strange interfaces.

"Peculiar Interfaces" is an exhibition at The Outpost that looks at how technology and the digital domain have changed our civilization. The exhibition features the work of eight international and local artists and groups working with new media and digital art.

This important art show in Vietnam investigates the interaction between art and technology with the goal of understanding how technology influences our connections and perspectives. "Peculiar Interfaces" urges viewers to consider hybrid realities, the value of data, and the importance of connection and caring in the digital era.

"Peculiar Interfaces" is open to the public from April 15 to July 23, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., except on Mondays. The Outpost Art Organization is located on the second level of tower B1, To Huu Ward, Nam Tu Liem District.

Visitors can purchase admission tickets at The Outpost's reception desk. This show contains pictures that may be distressing to some. Some items are not appropriate for children under the age of 13. Parental supervision is strongly encouraged.

Exhibit of regional food

The exhibition "Vung nao thuc nay" (Regional Cuisines) features 41 illustrations of local foods by 36 young painters. The event takes attendees on a gastronomic journey via the lens of art.

Drawings of Hai Duong's green bean cake, Hai Phong's crab noodle soup, Saigon's banh mi with roasted pork, and many more may be seen by visitors.

TiredCity, a creative company, Vietnam Local Artist Group - A learning community for young illustrators in Vietnam, and the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter collaborated on the show.

From July 1 to 16, the exhibition will be held in the Ho Guom Cultural Information Center, located at No. 2 Le Thai To, Hang Trong Ward, Hoan Kiem District. Entry is free.

Market fair

The Outpost announces a market fair with approximately 40 stalls selling a wide range of things including apparel, accessories, stationery, and crafts. There will also be several craft sessions to give relaxation and entertainment. Visitors will also get interesting presents.

On July 15 and 16, the market fair is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Complex 01 is located at No. 29, Lane 31, Alley 167, Tay Son Street, Quang Trung Ward, Dong Da District. Entry is free.

Ocean’s Symphony

The Continental Lounge has teamed up with Ben Gourmet to create a gastronomic experience called "Ocean's Symphony." A delightful selection of fresh seafood will be served during the event, including Japanese oysters, French bulot snails, Arctic shrimp, and Chilean green mussels. To complement the tastes of the seafood, chilled white wines will be served.

On July 14, the event will begin at 6:30 p.m., with live music beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are VND950,000 ($40) per person and must be purchased in advance due to the event's limited capacity of 40 people.
