Vietnam Visa on arrival 2022

Effective from March 15, 2022, Vietnam has resumed pre-pandemic visa issuance policies. All previous visa restrictions have been lifted. 

The Vietnam Government aprroved to resume unilateral visa exemption policy for citizens from 13 countries as Vietnam seeks to reopen inbound tourism after nearly two years of closure  including:  Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the U.K. All citizens from these countries can visit Vietnam for up to 15 days without a visa regardless of passport type and entry purpose.

The Vietnam Government also announced to resume other pre-pandemic immigration procedures for foreigners and overseas Vietnamese.

Vietnam entry requirements

Based on the official conditions from Vietnam Health Ministry for international tourists entering to Vietnam, tourists need to prepare these certificates as follows:

1.  No test is required any more. 

2. Present travel insurance or medical insurance covering Covid treatment worth minimum 10,000$ on arrival. This one needs to show at entry.

Threeland Travel can process visa on arrival for tourists. Here we would like to make an detailed guidelines of Vietnam Visa procedures:

- Please send us client’s passport scanned (Valid at least 6 months from departure date to Vietnam), confirmed round trip air ticket and Tourist Information form (as attached) via email so that we can progress applying the Visa on arrival. As soon as we receive the Vietnam Visa approval letter from the Immigration Office, we will send you via email.
- On client’s arrival date, please advise them to bring along their original passports, 1 printed Visa approval letter copy and 1 passport size photo (4x6) to take the visa on arrival at the Immigration Office at the arrival airport.

Please note:

- Requirement for Photograph: straight forward face, without hat or sunglasses.
- Vietnam Visa application process takes at least 5 working days, except weekend and Public Holiday.
