Tour to see the sunset at sea and go squid fishing at night in Phu Quoc

Posted By : Threeland Travel / Phu Quoc-Travel Tips

The sunset and night squid fishing in Phu Quoc are two experiences that you just must have when there. When I visited Phu Quoc for the third time at the end of November, this was one of the two-day tours that most impressed me. Threeland Travel took me to the most exciting experience that I ever had, and here are all the super details of the tour watching the sunset and squid fishing at night in Phu Quoc.

WHY SHOULD TAKING TOUR TO VISIT PHU QUOC FOR WATCHING SUNSET AT SEA AND NIGHT SQUID FISHING ?

Today, I can only identify Phu Quoc as having activities like night squid fishing and watching the sunset that are handled in a systematic, regular, professional, and most secure manner among Vietnam's coastal tourism provinces. Other provinces and cities also have, but they often only plan a few summer months, and they happen randomly, making it less certain to take a basket boat or small boat than it is in Phu Quoc.

WHERE DO WATCHING SUNSET AT SEA AND NIGHT SQUID FISHING TOUR COME FROM ?

The starting point for the night and sunset squid fishing tours changes depending on the time of year (season). The best place to start when squid fishing at night is at Bai Sao port during the rainy season (May to September), when the southwest wind is strongest and the Sao beach side is least influenced by waves. Because of the strong northeast wind that blows throughout the dry season (October to April), where Dinh Cau is located, the starting position is at Duong Dong port. You will also get the fullest enjoyment from viewing the sunset and night squid fishing at this time. Because you will see the most full sunset when leaving Duong Dong harbor. The sparkling lights are also quite lovely while riding the train to the far sea and standing in the water while looking at Duong Dong.

WHERE CAN I WATCH SUNSET AT SEA AND NIGHT SQUID FISHING ?

There is no fixed location either, but you can trust that due to the boat drivers' knowledge, the people of the sea will know which areas contain the most squid and how to draw the most squid. Basically, the best place to anchor up for fishing is where the sea is calmer, there are fewer waves, and there are more squid.

DETAILS OF WATCHING SUNSET AT SEA AND NIGHT SQUID FISHING TOUR

16:45: Since my hotel is close to the Duong Dong port (where Dinh Cau is located), I can easily stop by Dinh Cau to pay a visit and burn incense since I always stroll there.
17:10: When the tour leader called, and they were too engaged playing to notice the time, they hurried to the port. They pushed folks to do that, but they still didn't see many individuals. Just remain composed the next time. The time to exit the train, however, is also close to 5:30 p.m.
17:30: The ship departs the harbor at and begins to witness the really fascinating sunset and nighttime squid fishing operations.

The ship should be a little bit smaller for the tour because less people often take this tour compared to island tours like fishing and diving to view coral on islands close to Nam Dao or tours to fishing and diving to see coral in Hon Mong Tay, May Rut, or Dam Ngang.
The most gorgeous sunset moments should be captured at this time, and you should also retain your most stunning images at sea. Everyone must have enjoyed viewing the sunset from the beach, but not everyone has had the opportunity to do it while cruising by boat. A truly unique experience!

How do I express this feeling into words? The water is all around us, and over the horizon rises a red sun that spreads a pink glow across the sky. It then sparkled and appeared to be printed on the sea as well.

17:50: The boat docks to begin nighttime squid fishing. The lights turn on when the train stops. The tour leader sets up the fishing equipment before teaching the group how to fish for squid. Despite the fact that he claimed it was simple, I struggled for a while to understand the uses and how to throw the rod.

19:30: Eat a light meal on board at. It is light but very full, and in my opinion, it goes beyond expectations. Porridge, squid, and even fried noodles with meat are served for dinner. You can be confident that even if you can't fish, you will still have access to squid to eat since the squid served here is the squid that the tour prepares, not the squid that can be caught. Of course, the supper would be "more meaty" if you manage to catch it. You may also bring the squid you caught if you like.

20h00: After supper, those who like to continue fishing may do so, and those who would prefer to simply relax by looking at the stars or the sea may go to the second floor and lie in the chair. You are free to unwind in one of the about twelve seats that are available. I absolutely enjoy this experience.

20h10: The ship starts to return to the port.

20h30: The ship arrives at the port and ends the tour.

One of the things I think is the most worth taking when visiting Phu Quoc today is the tour to watching sunset at sea and go night squid fishing. I was also fortunate to select Threeland Travel, which provided me with a very unforgettable experience on the lovely pearl island. I hope they will be helpful for your planned vacation to Phu Quoc.
