Option 2: If you arrive in Danang in the evening, we will drive to Hoian directly as per the original program.

Being one of the five World Heritages of Vietnam as designated by UNESCO, Hoian ancient town is maintaining lots of characters of a former central seaport, before Danang took this role. This morning we can stroll around the tile-roofed Japanese Bridge, visiting taciturn Chinese Assembly Halls, ancient houses and Trading houses of Hoian to understand how the Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese architectural styles have mixed up here after the presence of traders from all these countries. Lunch with Hoian “cao lau” and other Hoian specialties. Afternoon drive overland to My Son to discover the hidden treasure of the Cham nation that once brightfully developed in this area. Thanks to the beauty and secrets of constructing these Cham Towers, My Son had been also recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritages. Back to Hoian for overnight. (Dinner at your own arrangement for flexibility).

At your leisure to enjoy the low-paced ambience of Hoian deeply, or relax and have sunbath at Cua Dai Beach (4km from the ancient town and reachable by bicycles). Overnight in Hoian (no services provided).

Upon our arrival in Hue, visit the Royal Citadel, Forbidden City and Hue Royal Museum. From Hue, continue to Linh Mu pagoda, the biggest pagoda in the vicinity and visit the Tomb of King Minh Mang. Intermingle with Hue people at their bustling Dong Ba market. (Lunch in a garden restaurant between visits; Dinner with Hue folk music on a boat flowing on the Perfume River). Overnight in Hue.

After an early breakfast, head to Dong Hoi on the way to visit Phong Nha Cave. Stop en route at the former DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) during the Vietnam War to have a look at historical sites - Parallel number 17 at Hien Luong Bridge, Vinh Moc Tunnel, etc. which had divided North and South Vietnam for 21 years. Take a short visit at Vinh Moc Tunnel to learn about the life of the Vietnamese during the wartime. Lunch in Dong Hoi before taking a boat trip to visit Phong Nha Cave, one of the best cave worldwide, visit different grottoes and the main grand cave.
