Overall Laos
Having seen pictures of the falls online I was expecting a lot. When we got there I was blown away by the nicest falls I have ever seen, and I've see quite a few. We went in early September which is the low season as it is also the wet season. This year there had been limited rain and the ampunt of water coming over the falls was perfect. The experience was helped by there not being too many people there. I imaging the experience would be totally different in high season. Swimming in the pools directly below the falls is now banned but there is a swimming area a couple of minutes walk downstream that is stunning. If you have limited time in Luang Prabang this is the must do activity.
Overall Laos
The falls had been recommended to us by friends but it’s something that has to be experienced to be truly appreciated. Even though it was rainy season and we had read it could be quite rough and muddy we were blessed by blue calm pools to swim in and the waterfall was spectacular. The whole family thoroughly loved this trip which we reached in a Tuk tuk van that cost us 250000 kip. We missed the carpe Dium restaurant which was also recommended to us but don’t make the same mistake as we did and ensure it’s part of your trip!
Highlights Of Laos
We went by local bus from Vientiane busstation. Bus 14, just get on and you pay during the ride (8000 Kip per person = 0,80 euro, one way) . The ride is about 40 minutes. The park entrance is directly near the road. There building a new entrance that can 't be missed. Park entrance is 15.000 Kip per person (1,50 euro). The park is full of buddhas and other statues from hindu and buddhisme. It's is interesting and fun to see all the different statues. The big watermelon shaped building is quiet adventurous to get in and climb over 4 stages to the top outside. Then there is a nice overview over the park. At the end of the park there are flowerbeds and there still extending the park with new sites.
Essential Laos
Probably the best, and lovliest temple complex in Laos, well worth the 20,000 kip enterance fee. Beautiful architecture, lovely colouring, and guilding of the 20 or so buildings, shrines, pavilions here. It is considered to be one of the most important monasteries in Laos. The gardesn are full of flowering shrubs. and trees. The complex dates from 1560, and until 1975, it was used to crown the kings of Lao. In one of the buildings, is the royal funeral carridge, and urns for the royal family.
Essential Laos
This temple is apparently one of the most highly architecturally revered buildings. The main temple gradually unfolds itself, with carvings on each corner. Also the highlight is the royal funeral carriage. You must pay to enter.
Inside Laos
I like the cave more.. More than lagoon... Too many chinese people.. So crowd and noisy.. But on the cave you will see how amazing the nature from the creator...
Laos World Heritages
I really loved my staying in this island. Rent a scooter or a bike for a tour around it. It has so many beautiful corners. Like the waterfalls or the temple. It is not extremely touristic so you can find yourself passing through beautiful Lao villages. There is an amazing sunrise from the south of the island that is definitely worth the trip.
Essential Laos
I was so surprised first second I see Phou Asa mountain, it's not that higher, but when we getting up there oh wow so nice and beautiful, you can see whole views down there, with widely lake, on top of the mountain little bit strange I don't know why ? Up there had small lake how the water can stay and where it came from? Im a little bit scared at the moment because I was so excited so I went there alone
Festival
For those who are deeply interested in cultural and spiritual events, choosing tours and taking part in festivals will be one of the best ways to enjoy holiday.

What can Laos offer?
Laos tours will be nothing short of thrilling and meditative experiences. Ancient Laos was full of elephants, varied fishes, jungles, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, and superb ancient temples. Modern Laos will leave you pleasantly amazed by its orderly traffic with no konking, quarrels, or fusses on the streets, especially in Vientiane and Pakse. Sophistication meets authenticity in Laos.
You can achieve absolute tranquility if you choose to stay in a lakeside or a hillside boutique lodge. You can also experience the authentic lifestyle of the Laos people, leisurely and placidly, making it the perfect getaway location.
Laos is a promising place for adventure-seekers. With jungles and nature reserves, mountain ranges, and powerful Mekong tributaries, the country offers a wide range of adventurous activities of different levels of challenges, such as kayaking, rafting, mountaineering, motor biking, canoeing, and elephant riding. Treetop zip lining and tubing are some of the experiences that are rarely found in neighboring Indochina countries.
You might plan your holidays to Laos for a short time, but after a few days, you may wish to come back promptly to discover more. Amongst the three Indochinese countries, Laos is recorded with the biggest number of Threeland’s repeated guests, which is an impressive accomplishment since Laos people have earned it without having to put in too much effort or deviate from their traditional values.
Being authentic Asia, your tour in Laos will cherish many of the traditions that have disappeared in a frenzy of development elsewhere in the region. It is hard to believe somnolent Vientiane is an Asian capital, and there is a timeless quality to rural life, where stilt houses and paddy fields look like they are straight out of a movie set.
Magical Luang Prabang witnesses hundreds of saffron-robed monks gliding through the streets every morning in a call to alms, one of the region’s iconic images. Intrepid travelers normally prefer a budget Laos travel package, which will give opportunities to discover a country untainted by mass tourism and Asia in slow motion, with vivid nature, voluptuous landscapes, and vibrant culture.
Some top Laos tour packages allow you to learn more about Laos’s lifeline in the Mekong River, which runs through the length of the country, at times bisecting and at others serving as a boundary with Thailand. The rugged Annamite Mountains historically have acted as a buffer against Vietnam, with which Laos shares its eastern border. For such a small country, your vacation in Laos seems to be lively and diverse in terms of the people. Colorfully dressed hill tribes populate the higher elevations, while in the lowland river valleys, coconut palms sway over the Buddhist monasteries of the ethnic Lao.
