Discover the cultural highlights of Northern Thailand with visits to Chiang Rai's attractions. Continue to Chiang Mai to experience the majestic Doi Suthep Temple and the historic temples of Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang before your departure.
Arrival in Chiang Rai, heading towards the impressive and magnificent Wat Rong Khun, often called The White Temple due to its dazzling white color inlaid with mirrored glass. Next, visit Black House (Baan Dam Museum), a collection of over 40 houses showcasing a unique and dark style of art and architecture.
In the afternoon, visit the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) – a relatively new temple that has gained popularity for its blue exterior and intricate decorations. We then visited Wat Phra Kaew – this temple houses the famous statue of the Emerald Buddha, which is considered one of the most sacred relics in Thailand.
Overnight in Chiang Rai.
After breakfast, transfer to a region that lies at the intersection of the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, and is located about 60 kilometers north of Chiang Rai.
Take a boat trip along the Mekong River to explore the surrounding landscape and visit local villages.
Then, we move from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai through the beautiful scenery. Along the way, visit Karen Long Neck Village – the villages are home to a small community of Karen people, including women who wear brass rings around their necks.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and driver to start your day with a visit to the mountain-top Doi Suthep Temple, where you can enjoy beautiful views of Chiang Mai. After visiting the Doi Suthep temple you will enter the old part of the city through from its walls to visit two of its most famous temples: the Wat Phra Singh temple, whose construction dates back to 1345 and where we find an image of Buddha more than 1,500 years old, and the Wat Chedi Luang, built at the same time but following a different architecture . It is believed that it was the first temple that housed the famous Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) that we find today in the Grand Palace of Bangkok.
