Herring salad

Fresh herring wrapped in rice paper with all kinds of vegetables, little grated coconut, dipped with premium fish sauce is a favorite dish in Phu Quoc, completely not fishy but only the aroma of wild vegetables, the fatty taste of coconut and pieces of fish really sweet and crunchy.

Ham Ninh Crab

Ham Ninh crabs cost from 200,000-500,000 VND/kg depending on the size, but big crabs in Phu Quoc are only equal to those born in the Central region. Too big crabs don't taste good, too small crabs don't have meat. Should choose about 6-7 fish/kg, if you like to eat bricks, choose female crabs, if you eat a lot of meat, eat males, crabs are sure to be delicious.

Grilled snails

These dishes are also worth trying when coming to Phu Quoc. The plate of snails and scallops is more delicious because of the fresh ingredients, while eating and blowing and breathing in the spicy, extremely attractive chili. It can be found at any good restaurant at Dinh Cau night market.

Grilled scallops

Bien Mai Scallops are two layers of muscle connecting two pieces of scallop. There are many ways to cook this food: stir-fry with shiitake mushrooms, straw mushrooms, onions and mustard greens.
However, for gourmets who want to enjoy the pristine taste of the sea, nothing can beat the grilled sirloin bien mai with salt and pepper. The salty taste of salt, the tongue-slicing spiciness of chili enhances the sweetness of scallops.

Melaleuca mushroom

Melaleuca mushrooms are only available in Phu Quoc during the rainy season (April to September). If you come in the dry season, melaleuca mushrooms are definitely dried or frozen ones, not as delicious as freshly picked mushrooms. Fresh mushrooms are cooked with seafood such as shrimp, fish, squid. Dried mushrooms are stir-fried with abalone or sea cucumber. Boiled broiler chicken is just cooked, adding freshly picked mushrooms will give us a delicious mushroom soup.

If you want to swim in Bai Dai, there are several resort options, but it is quite far from the center of Duong Dong.
