4. Chau Doc - Land of religious and ethnic diversity 

Chau Doc, a region of An Giang province bordering Cambodia, has long drawn a large number of tourists from around the world due to its sacred space, which combines the essence of many cultures, beliefs, and lifestyles of ethnic minority people, predominantly the Kinh, Khmer, and Cham. The Mekong Delta's diversity has resulted in a harmonious society that is simply too beautiful to be overlooked.

The strange feng shui position demonstrates the sacredness of this land. The Ba Chua Xu Temple (Mieu Ba CHua Xu), with the statue of Ba Chua Xu dating from the 16th century, attracts a large number of pilgrims from all over the world. The temple was constructed in 1820 at the foot of Sam Mountain to honor Ba Chua Xu (a local goddess). If you offer incense to the local deity, she is terrified that your wishes may come true. 

After leaving Ba Temple, tourists can visit Cave Pagoda (Chua Hang) on Sam Mountain's west, where legends about the mysterious Thanh Xa and Bach Xa are handed down.

The Tomb of Thoai Ngoc Hau has a harmonious and liberal space.It is remarkable to observe the seemingly opposing yet incredibly appealing architectural styles that contribute to Chau Doc's distinct identity.

While on pilgrimage to the religious land, tourists cannot ignore the daily lives of the Cham community. This place should be included in every journey to Chau Doc for those interested in learning about Cham ethnic culture and people. 

These quiet settlements are distinguished by their characteristic wooden stilt houses and mosques with remarkable round tower architecture. You will undoubtedly enjoy visiting Chau Doc Cham village, learning about the indigenous people's cultural charms, and seeing brocade weaving villages with numerous unique items.  

The outstanding architectural styles in this village are the wooden stilt houses. The stilted houses here are small and made of precious wood that is quite durable. The entrance door is reached through a wooden ladder. Because the entrance door is lower than the guest's head, the guest must bow to the host before entering.
