The tomb was built from 1840 to 1843 by more than ten thousand workers and soldiers. 5. Tomb of Tu Duc

It is located in a narrow valley in Duong Xuan Thuong village which is Thuong Ba village, Thuy Xuan Commune, Hue City. The tomb was built for the Nguyễn Emperor Tự Đức and took three years to build from 1864–1867. It is divided into a Temple Area and a Tomb Area. It is the burial ground of the 4th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty, King Tu Duc or Nguyen Phuc Hong Nham. The tomb was recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage on December 11, 1993. Tu Duc Tomb is really a complex of architectural works that will take your breath away.

6. Imperial Tomb of Dong Khanh

The Imperial Tomb of Dong Khanh is the tomb of the 9th Emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. It is located in Thuong Hai village, Thuy Xuan commune, Hue city. The process of building Dong Khanh mausoleum took place through 4 kings (1888-1923), so Dong Khanh mausoleum bears the mark of two architectural schools of two different historical times, which Hue tourists love to explore. The tomb was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage on 11-12-1993. The tomb is the smallest of the 3 main tombs around Hue but it is the most beautifully decorated, full of amazing details.

7. Khai Dinh Tomb 

Khai Dinh Tomb is the burial place of the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. It is located in Chau Chu mountain, about 10 km away from Hue city. The tomb is the smallest but most costly and recent one in comparison with other tombs of Nguyen royals.
King Khai Dinh (1916-1925) was the last to build the mausoleum. Khai Dinh Tomb (Ung Lang) was built on the slopes of Chau Chu Mountain, 10km from Hue City. The mausoleum was built in 1920 and took 11 years to complete.
King Khai Dinh sent people to France to buy iron, steel, cement, and evil tiles, and to China and Japan to buy porcelain and glassware to build works. Compared with other mausoleums in the system of mausoleums in Hue, Khai Dinh's mausoleum has a small area (117m x 48.5m) but is very elaborate and takes a long time to build. It is the result of the integration of many classical and modern Asian, European, and Vietnamese architectural lines.

8. Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities

The Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, which opened its doors in 1923, was the city's first museum. Presently, the museum is a part of the Center for Conservation of Hue Monuments, which has its headquarters at the 1845-built Long An Palace. The Hue Museum is where valuable collections that depict the material lifestyle, political rituals, and ideologies of the aristocracy, kings, and mandarins of the Nguyen Dynasty in the past are displayed. This Hue attraction, which has been around for more than 175 years and embodies the pinnacle of Nguyen Dynasty decorative and architectural art, has come to be one of the most iconic timber structures in Vietnam.

9. An Dinh Palace

An Dinh Palace is the unique art architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty built in the early 20th century. Sitting on the bank of An Cuu River, it is located at 97 Phan Dinh Phung Street, Phu Nhuan Ward, Hue City. Formerly, this building was constructed by the Dong Khanh emperor as a gift to the eldest son Nguyen Phuc Buu Dao (Khai Dinh emperor). 
An Dinh Palace is an iconic construction of Vietnamese architectural style in the Neoclassical period and associated with many important people of the Nguyen Dynasty. It is imprinted in an extremely unique Asian-European architectural interference. This is an architectural work that is completely different from hundreds of relics belonging to the complex of Hue monuments.

10. Huyen Tran Culture Center

Huyen Tran Cultural Center was built in 2006 on Ngu Phong Mountain, An Tay Ward, Hue City, about 7 km to the west of the city center. The place is dedicated to Princess Huyen Tran and Tran Dynasty’s mandarins who deserve credit for expanding the country’s territory to the South in the 14th century. 
The center is a complex of traditional architectural works, including a three-door gate, Huyen Tran Temple, King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong (Princess Huyen Tran’s father) Temple, and a large yard with a lotus pond. It has many rooms containing stone statues and distinctive sculptures.

11. Hon Chen Temple

Hon Chen Temple is a sacred temple on Ngoc Tran Mountain by the Perfume River in Vietnam. It honors Po Nagar, the Goddess of the ancient Cham people, and other gods and Buddhas. It is also known as Hue Nam Temple by Emperor Dong Khanh. The temple has beautiful architecture, decoration and artifacts. It hosts a folk festival in March and July of the Lunar Calendar to worship Mother Goddess Thien Y A Na. The festival features boats, music and dragon palanquins on the river. 12. Nam Giao Esplanade

13. Le Ba Dang Memory Space

Le Ba Dang Memory Space is a contemporary art museum and a tribute to the famous Vietnamese-French artist Le Ba Dang in Hue. The museum was built in 2019, four years after Le Ba Dang's death, by his wife Myshu and his longtime collaborator Le Cam Te, who wanted to fulfill his dream of having his own artist's paradise. The museum covers an area of 16,000 square meters on a hill by the Perfume River. The main building is inspired by one of Le Ba Dang's paper artworks, featuring a unique and impressive design. It showcases his diverse and creative works, ranging from paintings, sculptures, paper art, to multimedia installations. It also displays his personal belongings, photos and documents, revealing his life and career. The museum also has a garden, a library, a cafe and a souvenir shop for tourists when they tour in Hue.

14. Hue Traditional Singing Performance on Huong River

Hue Traditional Singing Performance on Huong River is a cultural show that showcases one of the three kinds of Vietnamese Chamber Music. It is a form of art that was enjoyed by the former nobility and royal court of Hue. The show features songs played on traditional Vietnamese instruments such as the zither, flute, fiddle, and drum. The performers wear elegant ao dai and sing with Hue accent. The show takes place on a boat that floats along the Huong River, also known as the Perfume River. Thanh Toan Tile-Roofed Bridge in Hue is a wooden arch bridge with a tiled roof that spans over a canal in Thanh Thuy village. It was built in 1776 by Mrs. Tran Thi Dao, a noblewoman who donated her money to help the villagers cross the canal more easily. The bridge is one of the two remaining bridges of its kind in Vietnam, along with the Japanese Covered Bridge in Hoi An. The bridge has a unique architecture that resembles a house with seven compartments. Inside the bridge, there is a small shrine dedicated to Mrs. Tran Thi Dao and an exhibition of local agricultural tools and fishing instruments. The park was established in 1991 and is one of the wettest places in Vietnam, with an average annual rainfall of over 8,000 mm.
