1. Phnom Penh

As Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh contains the harmony of cultural heritages and lively vibrant cities. Staying in this city will be the highlight of your Cambodia honeymoon itinerary.

Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda

The Royal Palace of Cambodia is regarded as a jewel in the heart of Phnom Penh with an unmistakable style. The palace was constructed during the mid-1800s when King Norodom moved the capital from Oudong to Phnom Penh. The magnificent royal architecture and the great Khmer cultural storage discriminate this destination from others.

On the left of Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda (Wat Preah Keo Morakot) is a treasure of Cambodia for its religious preservation function. It contains more than 1650 treasures such as gold, silver and other valuable donations offered by kings, queens, nobles to pray for peace, prosperity, and happiness for future generations. Moreover, the floor is tiled from 5329 pieces of silver slices each of which is handmade at a weight of 1,125kg.
Identified by the iconic high yellow walls that shelter the site, the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda are one of the most popular tourist attractions in Phnom Penh. How peaceful, relaxing time it is when being with your mate, sitting on a small patch of grass in the shadows of the palace’s Moonlight Pavilion to watch cute pigeons, enjoy snacks and locals’ rhythm.

Tips while traveling:
•    Do not wear short pants on knees, tight T-shirts to respect the indigenous culture.
•    Bringing animals, weapons and slippers are forbidden.
•    Staterooms of Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda are not allowed to wear slippers or shoes… Besides, making noise, taking photos and videos inside the Stateroom are not allowed.
