According to The People Committee of Halong, Halong Carnival 2013 will be massively held to serve the best out of the increasing tourist's number to Halong recently.
One of Vietnam’s World Heritage sites, Halong Bay will host a carnival from April 27th to May 1st 2013. 27 April to 1 May. Halong Carnival 2013 celebrates the 50th birthday of Halong City and promotes the image of Quang Ninh tourism, as well as the beauty of Halong Bay - home to one of Vietnam’s top natural attractions - the most popular sightseeing destination in the Northern provinces and was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 and the world’s New 7 Wonders of Nature in April 2012 by New Open World Corporation, an associate of the New 7 Wonders Foundation.
Recently, Vietnam’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just approved and announced the proposal of Halong Carnival 2013 to have the seating capacity of 7,000 to 10,000 spectators. The main stage of the carnival is situated on Hoang Quoc Viet Road, Hung Thang District; and the opening ceremony occurs at 20:00, April 27th with its theme “Quang Ninh’s Colors - Integration and Spread”. The festival will include art, music shows and a parade with art and dance troupes from Japan, South Korea, China and Laos, providing the entertainment.
In this year, Quang Ninh Province calls for support from maximum number of civilians, in collaboration with organizer and authorities to re-decorate the city, clean up the environment, enhance security in attempt to provide tourist great urban beauty and comfort when visit Halong City during carnival time.
