The coming back of low season with many promotions- Liberation day, and International Labor Day
 

Recent days, Vietnam has been warming up with the atmosphere of national liberation and May Day festival.
36 years ago, on 30 April 1975 the Vietnam People’s Army (NVA) captured Saigon, the South Vietnamese city. This day marked the end of the Vietnam War. It resulted in the reunification of Vietnam and Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh city. Now, Vietnam celebrates this day every year as Vietnam’s Liberation Day.
May Day is synonymous with International Workers' Day, or Labor Day, a day of political demonstrations and celebrations organized by the unions, communists, anarchists, and socialist groups. May Day is also a traditional holiday in Vietnam.

On the other hand, these days are also considered the changing mark to low season in Vietnamese tourism.
Low season of Vietnamese tourism is thought to be from May to September. The weather during this period is supposed not to be the best time for traveling. In the North and the South, the weather is rather hot and humid plus that it is quite dry in the central part.
On the contrary, many people think that from May to September is not a bad time to visit Vietnam if travelers find out what is suitable place to see, to discover and to enjoy.
For instance, travelers should not miss the chance to visit Sapa in April and May when flower in full bloom everywhere, terrace fields are in a blue color…all make Sapa like a natural colorful picture.
 

Between May and June, Hoi An is a good idea as the weather is not too hot. It is not rainy season in Hoi An either. (The rainy season in Hoi An is usually from September until January).
If travelers come to Vietnam in July, August, beach break is a good choice. Do not forget to enjoy time on the beach in Hoi An, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Mui Ne….with full of sunshine.
September is usually the time for many cultural events. Therefore, visitors can join and discover the tradition, culture of Vietnam. Especially, when you travel in family with kids, the second half of the month is when Full-moon festival is often celebrated. If you are in Hanoi, head to Hang Ma Street - Hoan Kiem district to see how colorful toys and lanterns are displayed for sale. In Ho Chi Minh City, Cho Lon area would be the equivalence.

In the same time, you also have the opportunity to visit Sapa during this harvesting season. The terraced rice field is so lively with many farmers coming out to harvest, wearing “non la” if they are Kinh peope and colorful clothes if they are Hmong or Dzao ethnic people.

On the other hand, in the low season, travel companies find all the way to attract tourists. Many promotions are offered in this time. It could be a good idea to travel with a low price added with avoiding the crowded at each destination.
