Danang welcomes International Fireworks Competition 2011-
“The Twinkling Han River”
 Annually, The Fire Work Contest has been organized in Da Nang with participants from all over the world. This contest is known as one of the biggest festival in Da Nang that attracts a lot of local people and tourists as well.
This year, the festival will be held on two night 29th and 30th April. Da Nang’s sky will be sparkling in these nights, the Han River banks in Hai Chau and Son Tra Districts will be beautifully lit with world-class pyro display that will dazzle its tens of thousands of spectators.
This year, participants will come from 4 countries. The competition will be organized under the theme "The Twinkling Han River”. The first night will feature Jubilee Fireworks team from UK and Hanwha team of South Korea to compete with each other, along with the host city of Danang. A magical pyro performance will take place on the second night by Parente Fireworks A&C SNC of Italia and Panda Fireworks of China. Moreover, Coming to the festival, people can also enjoy the wonderful time with music, dance shows and lantern float showcases, boat races on the Han River, local village’s festival, firework exhibition, SQ Paintings Exhibition and many interesting tours throughout the local region
The number of tourists coming to the city for firework competitions last years is expected to increase remarkably that more people are looking forward to the event with more attractive and interesting activities. Because of the rapid increase of the spectators year by year, the growing trend for the accommodation is expected to continue.
