Myanmar Airways International will start flights to the United Arab Emirates next year, now the two countries have signed an aviation accord.
MAI’s marketing and public relations manager, Aye Maya Thar, told local media that the airline plans to launch services to UAE in 2015, but gave no details.
Before the agreement signed on 10 March, Myanmar and UAE had no aviation treaties.
City authorities expect to have direct flights from Japan’s Yokohama to serve an increase in business tourists once a new industrial park opens in this southern city.
Ho Chi Minh city is a bustling metropolitan of Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City chairman, Le Hoang Quan, said the city and Japan’s Yokohama prefecture was attempting to establish an air link that would help serve business travel between the two cities.
“The Ho Chi Minh City-Yokohama route would make it easier for more Japanese investors to visit Vietnam but we still need to secure the support of airlines to fly nonstop services.”
Vietjet inaugurate its twenty-second route between Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and the resort city of Dalat. The new route by the low cost carrier will help promoting the National Tourism Year Dalat- Central Highlands.
The mountainous resort city of Dalat will be the centre of Vietnam promotional campaign in 2014 thanks to the organization of the “National Tourism Year 2014 – Central Highlands – Dalat” with the theme “Mountains and Forests of Central Highlands”. The National Tourism Year 2014 is due to include 45 major events, including 13 events directed by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Another ten events and seven tours will be organized by Lam Dong Province including cultural tours, nature discoveries and sports tours. Special events including festivals will also be organized all across the year including the spring festival of Pleiku City (Gia Lai Province), Bana’s rong house festival in Kon Tum Province, Buon Don elephant race in Dak Lak Province, tourism week of discovering waterfalls in Dak Nong. At the end of last year, Dalat already celebrated its 120th anniversary.
Air China will launch services linking Beijing and Yangon, while adding a Chengdu-Kunming-Yangon flight starting later this month.
Air China Flies To Yangon
Scheduled to launch 30 March, the airline will operate four weekly flights on the Beijing-Yangon route, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday using a B737-800.
The outbound flight, CA715, will depart from Beijing at 1930 and arrive in Yangon at 2250. The return flight, CA716, will depart from Yangon at 2350 local time and arrive in Beijing at 0550 Beijing time.
For Chengdu-Kunming-Yangon route, the airline will operate a daily service with A320s.
