New Route to Narita by Vietnam Airlines
Vietnam Airlines says it will launch a nonstop service from Danang to Tokyo’s Narita in July, this year.
The airline’s foreign affairs department deputy director, Mai Dang Hieu, said the route would develop two-way tourism between the two countries and would support business links and trade out of Danang.
“It will help to create the environment to boost tourism, trade and investment between Vietnam’s central region and the cities of Japan.”
The central city of Danang has an industrial zone covering 100 ha for Japanese companies, but the lack of a nonstop service out of Danang to Tokyo is a serious hindrance to developing more business.
A 1.2-ha Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Centre will also be built in the popular Ngu Hanh Son tourist district.
There are 16 international flights out of Danang, but this is the first to Narita, Tokyo.
