More Theme Parks Tp Be Opened In Vietnam
Vietnam-based Sun Group Corporation says the first stage of its Asia Park project will open this year.
Sun Group’s general director, Dang Minh Truong, told local media that the theme park, designed by world-renowned American architect, Bill Bensley, will cost an estimated US$189.6 million.
“The park should become a favourite spot for both local residents and visitors, once completed,” he said.
The park will attract mainly domestic family travellers.
Built to accommodate around 2.5 million visitors a year, the 88-hectare park, located at Hoa Cuong Bac Ward in Hai Chau district, includes a culture area, an amusement zone, a multi-functional centre and parking lot.
The culture park will showcase replicas of famous architectural works and typical landscapes from nine Asian countries including Japan, India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, China, Nepal and Vietnam.
However, the main drawcard will be a selection of international standard amusement rides to offer a sense of adventure and fun for visitors including a roller coaster that plunges along a narrow track from a height of 125 metres, the fourth highest in the world.
The main developer is Sun Group, a multi-functional business group in the real estate sector, with financial stakes in Ba Na Mountain Resort, Ba Na Hills Golf and Resort and InterContinental Danang Resort and Spa.
