New Myanmar domestic routes by Mann Yatanarpon
Myanmar’s newest airline, Mann Yatanarpon, will start flying domestic routes this February.
The airline CEO Kyaw Myo told local media that Mann Yatanarpon will be the eighth domestic airline operating in Myanmar.
It will operate new ATR 72-600 aircraft based in Mandalay and will fly to domestic destinations such as Yangon, Nyaung Oo, Heho, Techilek, Kengtung and Mytikyina.
The CEO added: “The intention is to establish a base in Mandalay as we want to facilitate passengers who need to fly to Mandalay direct. Another intention is to turn Mandalay International Airport into a logistic hub.”
The first Mann Yatanarpon flight landed at Yangon International Airport 31 January.
The seven other domestic airlines are Myanmar Airways, Air Mandalay, Air KBZ, GMA, Yangon Airways, Air Began and Asian Wings.
