Easier Getting Around Danang
Danang Airport provides a free travel map and information to tourists to help them get around the city.
The city’s Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism deputy director, Tran Chi Cuong, said free travel maps and brochures promoting Danang tourism were now available for the first time at the airport’s information desk.
“One more desk will be opened early next year to serve tourists…the department has set up a centre to provide tourism information and advice.”
However, local news reports did not clarify if the information was in other languages than Vietnamese. Chinese and English would be the two obvious choices to reach visitors, although the vast majority of holiday makers are from Vietnam.
No mention of phone apps in the announcement but an airport and city app with its own map would have added value for visitors.
Tourist arrivals to the city reached 2.54 million in the first nine months this year growing 19.6%. This included 2 million domestic trips, an increase of 20.5%, and 555,000 foreign visits, up 16.5% year-on-year.
