Daily flight to Hanoi by Asiana
Asiana Airlines has added four flights a week from Incheon in South Korea to the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi effective from 9 December.
Asiana Airlines’ Hanoi representative, Seon Jong Rok, said the airline will use an Airbus 321 (OZ728) with 171 seats for the additional four flights, which will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
It gives the airline daily services on the Hanoi–Incheon route.
The flights have been increased to meet passenger demand mainly from South Koreans, around 600,000 who visited Hanoi on holiday over 10 months and Vietnamese who are now booking holidays to Incheon.
Through to November this year, 108,000 Vietnamese tourists visited South Korea up from 106,000 in 2012. South Korea is one of the main tourist markets for Vietnam. The latest data shows 618,704 Koreans visited Vietnam, up to October this year, an increase of 7.4% over the same period in 2012.
Asiana Airlines plans an additional three weekly flights on the route starting in early 2014 or it might increase the size of aircraft to meet anticipated travel demand.
