ITB Berlin’s organizer claims there are waiting lists for space in some of the halls and more exhibitors have increased their space allocation, a clear indicator that the show remains healthy and relevant.

Messe Berlin, which organizes the show, said the outlook was exceptionally good as final preparations were under way for the 48th edition that opens 4 March and extends to 9 March with an impressive lineup of conferences and a four-day trade show.

Vietnam’s Southern Airports Services Company has re-launched two duty free shops in Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s immigration area after being closed since July 2009.
The duty-free store caters to passengers who are entering the country and are positioned in the baggage claim area right after immigration control.
Visitors can purchase a 1.5 litre bottle of wine (more than 22% a/c) or two-litre bottles under 22% (a/c) and 400 cigarettes. Travelers can buy up to a value of US$237.50. Over that amount duty and taxes must be paid.
Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region will open up for cruises, resort tours as well as festivals and ecologically-friendly promotions to attract more tourist arrivals by 2020.

The key focus will be on Can Tho City and the provinces of An Giang, Kien Giang and Hau Giang, where cruises, festivals and beach resort services are already being developed.
The Ca Mau peninsula cluster with Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang provinces will offer trips through mangrove forests and Khmer festivals.
Three Myanmar’s local airlines have expressed interest in running some of the country’s small airports according to an Eleven News report.
Air Bagan deputy director, Ma Grace, was quoted as saying that the airline was interested in investing in local airports.
“We also have asked to see the registry of interest (ROI). We haven’t yet decided on which airport to focus on.”
